The casual way in which Mace Windu murked Jango Fett doesn't get the appreciation it deserves

Someone like Palpatine is not about to have one of the most powerful Jedi left unaccounted for. Especially since he hadn't killed him with the lightning and he knows that Jedi can land after falling from high distances. He certainly would have obsessively tried to confirm he was dead.

Well, it hasn't really been gone into about how much he did or didn't try to find Yoda/Mace. Maybe someday they'll explore that aspect, because it would seem that someone as calculated as he is would want to keep track of what happened to his most powerful enemies.
