The east coast is high up on my list of places I need to check out, but plane tickets out there are retarded expensive. Like I could basically fly to europe for the same price.

Got dayum I didn't flights was that expensive :merchant:
Most of us just wait for seat sales and go when shyts cheap, cus otherwise your paying outta your ass.

Beautiful city though I did notice everything was expensive ESP food, I guess of your not working in government your screwed?

Aren't houses reasonably cheap in scotia though?

I'm still working my way on visiting every province.

Agree with te other poster traveling in Canada is expensive I think I paid like 600 from Toronto to Halifax

shyt I work for the govt, and I'm still screwed! Municpal only mind you but still. And wifey is a fukking Occupational Therapist and still can't find work! She needed a fukking masters degree for that shyt and still can't find nothing! And thats cus our Province is all about cutting spending in health care and other public sectors,

Houses are cheaper then most other provinces for sure, but our cost of living is so high, combined with the high tax rate, that when you do the math it's still probably cheaper to live where houses are more expensive, because cost of living won't be as high and you'll make more in regards to salary. I won't even get in to paying the most taxes...and to top it all off, we just got a report in our paper stating they did some research, and since one company has a monopoly on power supply down here, we pay the most out of all provinces for Electricity. Then the next day, that same company applied to increase the power bill by 2 percent for the next two years :snoop: :noah:

I mean I love it down here don't get me wrong, and nikkas will tell you we got some of the finest women in the country (mostly cus we have a few major universities), but they making it so its impossible to even live down here these days! Highest, taxes, cost of living, electricity, and hardly any jobs...Like I said, great place to visit, but I wouldn't wanna move here. Hell at this rate me and wifey might have to make the jump and go to Ottawa or some shyt, only cus if we make the jump I'm a go back to school and the school I want to go to is up there. :manny:

What about Dartmouth? Still expensive as hell?

Fed gov jobs are being slashed across the board thanks to Harper, if I can get work from home from my work, I'm thinking of moving to new found land

My nikka Reincar! Man I see people talking bout all these different foods all the time and im always in a thread like, ya'll aint got donairs though :lolbron: :obama:

Casino is ight, but I don't gamble like that. Again women are BOMB, but I'm wifed up and don't really fukk wit em like I used too, although its easy to find a jump off if need be. Best part of being from here is deff the Ocean though, I be living at the beach during the summer. I swear our biggest beach be looking like some shyt outta Miami on a really hot day when its crowded :takedat:

And Dartmouth, well, :scusthov: just one of those things, if you grew up here, you really only affiliate with one side of the Harbour. Most people from Halifax, turn their nose up at the thought of living in Dartmouth, just find it dirty and cheap :manny: and tbh, even though they won't admit it, most Dartmouthers like Hali more and would rather live on this side of the harbour. Real talk, I'd rather just uproot and take my chances elsewhere, then suffer though living in Dartmouth, shyt just runs that deep :snoop:

You've ruined my dreams. I was consider going to Dalhousie for undergrad a few years ago. Hali was the perfect getaway. No after reading this not so much.

You might wanna be careful about where you park your car in Montreal. Lately there have been alot of student tuition fee protests going on downtown and some protesters have been vandalizing cars and businesses.

Nothing huge is going on right now, Canadian Grand Prix is June 8-10 and festival season(Jazz, Comedy) starts next month and continues into July. The clubs on Crescent and St.Laurent are always poppin.
