This season has been pretty good for me. Maybe not as strong/focus as previous seasons, but good. Last episode had me intrigued all the way through. I be looking forward every week for the next episode. Even though we all knew breh was in Butcher's head. It didn't make me feel like or anything.

After I finished The Bear last week. Seeing what other's online is saying about The Boys this season let me know that there are levels to disappointment. There are some people (in other forums) who think both shows just dropped "trash" seasons (they're entitled to their opinions). I think that's too extreme to say. I liked The Bear S3 but clearly it wasn't fukkin with S1 & S2 (those seasons progressed a lot and was laser focus). And The Boys is still one of (if not) the best TV show on television still. Even after this slight step backwards this season. It could also be that these shows has been so consistent in the past that the bar is too high. Either way, neither has been trash at least not imo. 10/10 is too extreme to. Both shows newest season's has been good, not great, and definitely not trash.

I can't speak on the Bear (only seen season 1) but this season of the Boys isn't good at all. I could forgive the circular nature of the show in the past but now the show's flaws are just glaring. The main plot is underdeveloped this season, the subplots are not intriguing, a lot of the plot points are contrived as hell, suspension of disbelief is out the window, shock value well has been exploited one too many times, etc. Far from one of the best shows on TV.

Happens every time a show gets big, they look at which scenes got a big reaction and just try to cram more of it in the episode with 0 finesse

That's why I keep saying these writers are trash and should be put on the summerjam screen more often, we do it with artists in other fields all the time

Tek-knight was true to form I suppose, him spilling the beans because of a Black Lives Matter donation was hilariously fukked up. But all the gay shyt is ridiculously forced.. especially since there hasn’t been a single female bodypart shown since last seasons orgy… but man ass and penis has been rampant in every episode

The overthetop cringy racism and political platitude is really dragging the show. Now they're getting into Nazi germany territory. I think even a hardcore liberal would see it as being too much.
