The Black community continues to be held hostage by the scum of the community..Too many black people don't value black lives.

If we had a list of the most listened rappers only by black people, it will look worse. That Jack Harlow dude would not be there for sure.

You have to put in mind that black kids are raised to this demonic propaganda since they are toddlers. The collective black psyche is polluted from the beginning.

That's why a lot of people can't help but defend these criminals. It's almost an instinct.
Listen to this shyt. Who are the black rappers only listened to by black people? EST Gee? Griselda? They all have huge white fan bases. Y’all goofy mfers gotta stfu and I haven’t seen anybody on this board defend criminals. We just haven’t grabbed at surface level bullshyt reasons for our situation like it’s the music we listen to. Y’all dodging the real issues.

I'm talking about the most listened rappers but only taking account black listeners.

I agree it’s not productive for children to consume that kind of music when a lot of kids in our community don’t have a strong support system to show them it’s all bullshyt but at the end of the day music is music. White Americans are the largest consumers of rap by far and they don’t have the same issues our community has. Violence in our community was worse before rap for the 100th time. So what was the excuse for the crime then? Was it that damn jazz music? The solution isn’t a ban on rap, its education and financial literacy and it’ll take generations to fix because it took generations to get us here.
Don't you find it rather odd that we have a genre of music that exclusively celebrates black murder & death? And for it to be a million dollar industry on top of that? Its truly absurd and really plain sick.

Regardless of whether or not there is a direct link between rap and crime. It would seem we as a people would see this as a huge problem.

I'm not suggesting that rap or any music is creating the conditions we have in our communities. I am pointing out that it is anti-Black and should have no place within Black culture.

White people are the largest consumers of an artform that largely centers around the deaths of Black men. Black death is entertaining to them, why is it also entertaining to us when the leading cause of death for Black males between the ages of 1-44 is homicide???

I actually agree with your solution, problem is, there's a reason this anti-Black propaganda exists in the first place and it is to advance the idea that Black people are completely incompatible with western society and that "something" needs to be done about it.

Other groups recognize the power of propaganda, Jewish people for example, won't even tolerate other people saying that they're good with money because it's tied to tropes that have been used to demonize them throughout history. 21 Savage had a lyric that he believed was complimentary to Jewish people and found himself apologizing for it later. This is the same guy that has countless anti-Black songs, even has one titled "my choppa hate n*ggas" but there will be no apologies to the Black community because we have accepted this filth as being normal.

No it’s not odd. Rap started off in the trenches where murders and robberies were prevalent. They spoke about it and got attention, money, and women. As soon as that became a solid path to take, more and more young men ran to it. If they got popular talking about love then they’d be talking about love. In the late 80s early 90s when black consciousness was popular there were a lot of conscious rappers.

The point being they’ll do/say whatever to get to the bag because it’s just entertainment to them and high majority of listeners. You know as well as I do 80% of real rappers, not just some kid that made a mixtape, aren’t actual criminals.

This you? In another PNB thread:

Someone was spitting facts and you throwing a hissy fit because they're jamaican, but oh yeah, don't say there's no black community? :mjtf:
You can deflect all you want. Doesn’t change the fact that their are too many self hating genocidal idiots out here.

Well said. I agree with all your points. The main one being that you weren’t suggesting rap music is creating the conditions we have in our community.

:mjlol: like david carroll said ..

This is a good video, and I don't know why it's being ignored. Maybe because breh is British, but he's absolutely right. You can blame racism, and white supremacy all you want, but the change starts with us. You can hold your breath all you want...no one gives a fukk, and no one is coming to help us.

Got folk trying to justify why we have to navigate city streets like secret agents as to not provoke the ire of criminals.

Matt, isn’t it a coincidence that someone literally dropped a diss track on you because you have strong views regarding this topic and then look at this incident that occurred.

Some people believe that critiques of criminality is also a critique of Black people because they don't make a distinction between the two.

I reject the idea that criminality is Black culture and I also reject the anti-Black content that centers around Black death is "entertainment"
