Whether you like Sgt Willie pete or don’t he’s one of the few male personalities that goes in depth on stuff like this. A lot of this will have to start with black men. Black Millennials and Gen Y’ers will have to pick up the slack from Gen X and use all the tools we have available to course correct this ship.

We have to start making ignorance, killing each other, and exploiting each other for clicks not cool. The way snitching is looked down upon is where we need to have the same thing when it comes to embarrassing your fam, senseless violence, and promoting ignorance.

Women respect power and we need to push for a healthy black male patriarchy. Putting our boys in leadership positions early, pushing our kids in stem, politics, international business. Setting the trend of calling each other n words not cool anymore and collectively standing on it. Also showing black girls that you don’t have to be Brittany Renner to get attention and status. All the tik tok divestor, c00n talk needs to be reported and eliminated whenever possible. There has to be consequences for shytty actions.

If the crime bill didn't fix anything before, what makes you think it will fix anything now? I don't understand this obsession with a crime bill, knowing the problems that occurred with it, and knowing how emboldened racists are now. The problem is a multifaceted one and needs a multifaceted solution instead of some magical magic quick fix that everyone seems to think exists (it fukking doesn't). One has to address multiple aspects of the community. You can be tough on offenders without a crime bill. Hell, you can genocide them without a crime bill. A crime bill in itself is a terrible idea.

Honestly most of the issues stem from regular society problems and all the factors that causes crime. Black community does have some factors that amplify the issues though, and that needs to be addressed.

What we can do is minimize crime for the next generation though and that starts with raising the children right. We need more mentorship for these kids and as a collective changing what we deem as "cool", and who are the idols within the community. Imagine growing up without a positive role model and the only type of man you look up to in your life is ignorant street nikkas, and ignorant street nikkas turned rappers. Literally wolves trying to make more wolves.

That is only one of the dozens plus problems in the community.

I agree with this, I’ve had multiple conversations about this. Stand up people gotta stand up. I remember I used to have to kick the dope boys off my street. Once I started doing that multiple families starting doing it with me and eventually them nikkas stopped coming around all together. We gotta stand up to these trash ass nikkas and get em up outta here.

That's essentially what the NOI managed to do back in the 60s. Cleaned up their neighborhoods.

People want to talk about these issues on a macro level and focus on what's wrong with the community, white supremacy etc, when in truth a lot of the dysfunctional shyt we endorse in our own personal lives are also part of the problem. It's all interconnected.

I guarantee that whoever killed that young man had no salient father figure in their life, so the streets/hip-hop/the gang became their surrogate father. If you're out here going raw in random women, you're part of the problem.

Point is, start by looking at the ways that you're personally contributing to the bullshyt.
