Nah I can't put that on Claire. It's not a woman hating thing as much as it's a "I didn't come to pizza hut for hamburgers " thing

People didn't like Claire simply because she's anti The Bear

Why do nikkas watch and love The Bear? The screaming the anxiety, the fukkery of chef life. Nikkas watch for the noise and the show is masterful at that noise

Then here comes Claire being almost a manic pixie dream girl and bringing the overall energy of the show to a standstill. Claire scenes weren't noisy or anxious and nikkas that watch the Bear for that were like :scust: get this bytch off the screen mane

Nikkas don't wanna see a happy Carm they wanna see him constantly depressed and screaming chef shyt at nikkas:mjlol:

Every single word of this.

The show's become a beacon for everybody in food service - and similar industries - who's a depressive, anxiety-ridden wreck. And one thing about that group, they relate to each other on a level where anything remotely resembling a "normie", they despise it out of hand. The writing has put Claire on this pedestal as the one good thing in Carmy's life from way back in the day, everybody adores her, the Faks are literally cheerleading her every time she's brought up...but that's all for show purposes.

Real life? The medical field is probably worse than food service with the crazies. :pachaha:

Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
Treating Marcus like shyt but Chef Luca:russ::mjpls:
This season was all over the place and didn’t really grab my attention
Claire just feels like plot armor
She can’t be that perfect
Nobody is in real life
I like the play on peace and piece
But they drawing this shyt out
I hate that will they/wont they plot device
It always slows a show down
Hopefully they go a melancholy/bittersweet approach

They can’t go scorched earth or too happy
It needs a middle ground resolution

- The episode 5 cameo was cool but in general there was just way too much Faks this season, especially early on. Less is more with them

- Everybody loves the Tina episode and rightfully so, she and Bernthal were great. No surprise Ayo directed that one, felt like the one-off Ramy episodes following the mom, dad, sister, etc that were always excellent

- I liked episode 1 as well, a little pretentious but it worked for me. Episode 8 wasn't bad but it was just a lot to take in, the hospital scene felt like an hour

Overall, it was cool but feels like a stepback by default. We don't care about the Claire Bear conundrum like they want us to, and the rest felt like a very drawn out precursor to the actual meat & potatoes (is Unc gonna pull the plug and is Syd gonna dip)

I watched it twice.......

this season was really disappointing for me.

Its like the fame and praise went to their heads.

Everything felt so forced.

The Tina episode was the saving grace.

NGL this shyt got me upset.

I did appreciate a lot of the technical aspects in the first couple of episodes....but it was like Porn.

WTF is the deal with the Claire bear plot? is she a somebody or related to somebody? this has to be nepotism in action.

Don't care how good the acting is...I did not need an entire ep of Momma Bear giving Baby bear sum ice chips lol. Good for their relationship tho. One of these mf kids deserve some form of normal parent/child relationship, even if it might be temporary.

That episode was OD for no fukking reason. Jaime lee Curtis killed it in the 7 fishes episode.

I can't believe the fall off. to go from that 2 this :picard:

I kinda get what they were trying to do; maybe open the door to re-unite the family?

but the execution was real hollow.

She grew up in the same neighborhood as Carmys family and the Faks, they all knew each other and the families knew her and Carmy had a crush on eachother. Basically his Savannah until they went their separate ways pursuing careers:pachaha:

It's the dream girl trope in a show where anxiety and chaos and realistic depth to characters are what got people hooked. It doesn't mean it can't work or that Carmy isn't supposed to seek some sense of peace/normalcy, the show just never did a good job fleshing their situation out. Everytime she pops up or gets mentioned I'm like

You not the only one. I’ve been on the bear sub Reddit everybody is trashing season 3. Audience score on rotten tomatoes is 57

This whole season feels like a filler

How they go from sandwich shop in season 1 to making fine dining Michelin star restaurant in season 3 lmao

I finished the season over the weekend. I agree with some of the complaints and it wasn't as strong as the first 2 seasons, but overall it still has a lot of ingredients that make the show shine and stand out to me.

And I'm still looking forward to how things resolve in S4 and if Carmy is able to deal with the many issues that are plaguing him and have started to seep over to others, most notably Sydney.

I love this show, but this third season was not my cup of tea. Thought it suffered from too many cooks in the kitchen, ironically. Directionless ones at that. I was cool with the Faks in the earlier seasons but they overstay their welcome here.

The Copenhagen and Forks episodes came through clutch in S2. With the amount of introspection in this particular season, it needed to be structured better for it to not come across as so overbearing with the misery.

Don’t think I’ve ever watched a show that wants to showcase Uncut Gems-like anxiety while also making it their ultimate goal to fulfill that Hallmark wholesome moment quota. That seems to be The Bear’s thing, who is usually good at it. It felt blatant and grating here though, more-so than ever before, and I think with there being no real progression between the main leads only expedited such feeling for me. I was beyond tired of seeing Carmy have mental breakdowns.

It does have its bright moments. Like I said before, I’m sure the critics will eat up the season opener as well as Ayo’s episode, but I’m hoping for a better time overall come next go-round. Do not want to hear its 2026 Emmy rivals whining this time if they lose to this.
