I think Hollywood is a #1. He just needs to bulk up and having a full offseason will help. He showed so much potential last season playing on a bad foot

Most number ones can do it all. Hollyowood is skillful, but he's not gonna play through contact or get much YAC if he's getting contacted as soon as he catches the ball. He just doesn't take unnecessary hits or stay up after contact.

A true number one is a house call anytime they have the football. Hollywood needs to be in space to be that dynamic threat. Don't get me wrong, he'll catch passes at times and take a big hit, but he'll fall to the ground. A true number one, IMO, is taking that hit and then outrunning the defense. Not all the time, but atleast some of the time. Hollywood has shown no potential to take those hits and stay up.

I started to watch that too, but from what I remember, he was using the UCF game in 2018 to prove his agrument. According to multiple scouts, that's his worse tape. I didn't watch the rest, but if that's the only tape he used, of course he's gonna look like a bum.
Keep watching

he shows films from a bunch of different games

He has some of the same weaknesses that made me hate CJ Mosley

he’s only 20 and doesn’t have much experience so he should get alot better

I wouldn’t expect much this year though

he’ll probably just be the Will on passing downs

Hes not gonna get much bigger breh

talent wise he’s definitely a #1 but i don’t think you want to put 12-15 targets on him per game

He could definitely go the Marvin Harrison route and just consistently protect himself by just giving up and going down or running out of bounds alot if yes gonna be our volume guy but I’d prefer a guys like Mims or Higgins for that

I think for the type of offense they run he’s a number one. They don’t even wanna throw 30 times a game. But I think he can play thru contact more of he gets stronger. He already has the quickness to make people miss. Against Tennessee he was the only bright spot. It would be nice to see Boykin get more consistent tho becuz he has the prototype body. Snead you know what your getting with him. If they can get a big body receiver in the draft who can catch contested passes they should go for it

And this is why we should’ve gotten the Stanley extension done before the Texans did Tunsil deal :snoop:

Agree with you on Boykin improving. He plays a lot smaller than his frame and doesn't have that killer instinct.

I'm 50/50 on them continuing to improve the defense or draft another receiver early though. I miss those dominating defensive performances and if the offense keeps scoring 30+ points a game :wow:

Tbh I don’t see anybody getting that many targets in this offense except for maybe Andrews. But even if he doesn’t get bigger he can definitely get stronger

I got a feeling we will see a rush on edge rushers today. Curtis Weaver, Gross-Matos, Baun and Uche should be taken today...maybe even Terrell Lewis. Still alot of decent starter quality interior dlineman left. I hope the Ravens can get either Blacklock from TCU or Madubuike from A&M with 55 or 60.

I've been doing some thinking and I know we all want a threat at wide receiver, but the Ravens were blowing people out last season. The games they loss were for various reasons, but one can point to the defense allowing big plays in the running game. IMO, they should keep improving the defense. Lamar is a generational talent and as long as he stays healthy, the offense should pick up where they left off. The Ravens won't need another receiver immediately because they won't be playing from behind.
I heard that Baun and Uche are both moving to ILB

I wouldn’t mind Gross-Matos

haven’t watched Weaver so i dont have an opinion on him

Gallimore is my favorite interior dlineman

you can take Brandon Williams off the field on obvious passing downs and put Gallimore in

Wolfe/Gallimore/Campbell would be a deadly interior pass rush

also you cant just assume we will jump out to early leads every game

in all 3 of our losses last year we lost because we didn’t have the talent to come back when we were down

We are not beating the Chiefs with this receiving core.I dont care how many players you add on defense

I think the defense should be better. Having Tavon Young back is huge. He usually gets hurt every other year so they should be good there
:heh:

Just gotta hope Ferguson steps up

I haven't heard that they were moving to the inside. I will say this though, the Ravens like to play alot of uneven fronts and move people around, so if those guys can play inside, they should be able to make some splash plays. I really like the way Baun blitzes and diagnosis' plays.

I haven't seen Gallimore's tape, but Madabuike can play 0, 3, 5 and generate pressure from all of them. He's strong af too, so in run defense, he doesn't lose ground. I can only imagine how much he will improve under someone like Campbell showing him new tricks.

You're right. They were playing from behind in those games.

I want to see us add a pass rusher and FS at some point but most of the picks need to go to the offense

we’re not as good as most people think

Lamar covers alot of holes

WR is currently our biggest need IMO...not pass rusher

I know im on an island here but i also think RB is a big need

Ingram is 30,Gus is average, and Hill did nothing as a rookie

If the plan really is to run Lamar less next year then we need a back to help replace those 1200 yards

Lamar covers a lot! The Ravens don't win half of those games last season without him.

I like Cam Akers and Antonio Gibson at RB. They will need to add a RB at some point because Lamar can't be expected to keep running like he does. Even though he's done that all throughout college and so far as a pro, the Ravens can't expect him to keep doing it because the more he does it, the more the opponents will be able to study and subsequently stop him. shyt, the Titans used a formula that everyone will duplicate next season when they play the Ravens.
