Also Lamar is still much better at throwing in breaking routes/middle of the field. Need a physical guy that can get YAC.

Need a Deebo Samuel type.

That's Pittman Jr. from USC and Bryan Edwards from South Carolina that I know of. I think Quartney Davis from Texas A&M fits that mold a little bit, but he's focused more on route running and isn't a dynamic threat in the passing game. because he's slow. If Davis goes against a savvy veteran or a film junky, they'll pick up all his queues when running certain routes, so he'll lose even more effectiveness as a pass catcher. He's already struggling with separation as it is :francis:

The knock on Dobbins is the amount of carries he had at Ohio State. Some teams are leary of his longterm availability.

Terrell Lewis has failed medical exams by over half of the NFL teams :dame: How Tua passed and Terrell didn't is a conspiracy in itself. Terrell might go much much later, like a late day 2 early day 3 pick.

I agree with them possibly double dipping, but I can see them picking up Shaquille Quarterman. Only because he's more of the enforcer guy in the middle and he's projected to be a much later pick than Gay. shyt, they might even go Anfernee Jennings because he can play inside and outside, but he's a developmental guy. I'm seeing Patrick Queen in coverage situations and spying, and some blitzing. They'll be on the field together majority of the time, but Quarterman might step off on obvious passing down situations.

What about Chris Board or Alaka being that big bodied enforcer guy and the Ravens not picking another ILB?
I dont give a damn about longevity. The goal should be winning a ring before Lamars rookie deal is up.Thats really all that matters. If Dobbins doesn’t get a 2nd contract, who cares

and yeah I expect Lewis to go in the early 3rd thats why i want him with one of our 2nds

If he does make it to us in the 3rd that’d be great but i dont see it.Hes a 1st rounder without the injuries.I just cant see him making it us in the 3rd let alone day 3

What do yawl think of the Ravens relying on Ben Powers and Mekari taking steps in the right direction and not drafting an interior olineman early? I thought Ruiz was the only one worthy of being drafted before the 3rd. Some people like Hunt and Cushenberry, but I think the Ravens need to get more dynamic in the passing game for obvious reasons and get bigger on the dline so they can play more bully ball and control the line of scrimmage.
I still believe Kelece Oseleme will sign with us at some point before training camp

I also like Powers

I did want Ruiz cause hes the best center and would’ve been an upgrade but I think we’ll be fine with our line

they’ll probably add 1 or 2 over the next few rounds

I got a feeling we will see a rush on edge rushers today. Curtis Weaver, Gross-Matos, Baun and Uche should be taken today...maybe even Terrell Lewis. Still alot of decent starter quality interior dlineman left. I hope the Ravens can get either Blacklock from TCU or Madubuike from A&M with 55 or 60.

I've been doing some thinking and I know we all want a threat at wide receiver, but the Ravens were blowing people out last season. The games they loss were for various reasons, but one can point to the defense allowing big plays in the running game. IMO, they should keep improving the defense. Lamar is a generational talent and as long as he stays healthy, the offense should pick up where they left off. The Ravens won't need another receiver immediately because they won't be playing from behind.

That's my concern as well. I know they want a track team like KC, but I'm more concerned about what the Ravens actually do well which is RUN THE DAMN BALL. Say what you want about Boykin as a receiver, but as a blocker, he's clutch. Hamler and Hollywood are little dudes (both roughly 5'9 under 190lbs and neither scrappy) and can't be expected to hold blocks down the field and you can only have them run deep routes hoping the corners don't turn around for so long. Which also brings up another point regarding coverage. I don't think Hollywood and Hamler are good at getting off the LOS against press coverage. So, the Ravens will have scrony dudes on the outside that can't get off the LOS and can't hold blocks, which forces them to run in between the tackles with a newer unproven interior oline :snoop:
I absolutely hate this take

if your picking WRs based on who blocks the best you’re more than likely gonna draft a bust

how about drafting a RB with some fukking speed so you dont have to depend on WRs holding the block for 10 seconds :snoop:

I see what you're saying, but most of the time, you still need someone, most likely a receiver, to throw a critical block on those big runs. If the sideline wasn't there, sure, they can race East and West until someone gets tired and then it's a house call. Sometimes though, they're just gonna have to punch a team in the mouth and I think that would be hard with those two. I could be wrong and if they draft Hamler, I hope I am, but I think it might backfire.

I started to watch that too, but from what I remember, he was using the UCF game in 2018 to prove his agrument. According to multiple scouts, that's his worse tape. I didn't watch the rest, but if that's the only tape he used, of course he's gonna look like a bum.

We need a #1

I love Hollywood but ideally hes a #2 field stretcher type of WR

we need someone who’s more complete

thats why I love Denzel Mims.I think hes the one of the most complete WRs in tye draft amd can be a true #1

I think he’ll be DeVante Parker at worst.

Ive also come around on Tee Higgins

I see alot of Michael Thomas in his game amd hes faster and a more fluid athlete than I thought

I really want one of those 2 but I’ll accept Hamler or Pittman as a consolation

we definitely gotta get somebody though

we only have a couple years before Lamar get his extension. They should be going all in trying to win now amd we’re not winning shyt with the receiver core we have now

Emmanuel Sanders woulda been perfect
:mjcry:

But the Ravens are in a good position where they can basically go a number of different ways in the draft. Main thing is they need to improve the line a little at this point. But who knows how much Lamar actually made the line look good?

I just don’t think it’s important at all

its like drafting a CB based on whos the best run defender

shyt is just dumb to me

I think Hollywood is a #1. He just needs to bulk up and having a full offseason will help. He showed so much potential last season playing on a bad foot

Lamar definently made the line look good especially in pass protection.
