man I went to a party this year and the host was talking that shyt; had an apron on and everything.

I almost LOST it when this fool pulled out frozen bubba patties.
My boy had a birthday party for his lil girl at his house…so when I get there he’s in the kitchen making some baked beans…we talkin n shyt and he grabs a large container of lemon pepper and dumps it in the pan :dahell:

He had the nerve to serve that shyt

My girl was traumatized she was pregnant and hungry af

Tangiest baked beans I ever had in my life

Tbh this requires a bit of trial/error and practice. I barbecue for my family every week and it turns out great but not gonna lie, i screwed up a lot in the beginning until i got it right :mjlol:
Cooking is the ultimate trial and error. I cook a ridiculous duck breast but served one undercooked once (even for duck) on a dinner date, it was tough to overcome with her :sadcam:

We've all been there. My bbq was trash the first few times. But over the years it got better and better. Started with a propane grill because my condo complex didn't allow a charcoal grill/smoker. I got really good with that. But once I got my house and was finally able do charcoal and wood I basically had to train myself all over again. But now I'm a distant 2nd best in my family. My cousin has a food truck and he specializes in Brisket and Pulled pork. Everytime I see him doing his thing on the bbq pit it let's me know that there's levels to this bbq shyt.

Also, when you're new you gotta use a thermometer. Makes it almost impossible to undercook or overcook the meat. Don't even need the fancy Bluetooth probes, just a cheap $10 digital thermometer will have you set.

Extend the price to $20.

Them $10 family dollar digital thermometers will have your shyt fukked up. They take 10-20s just to get a good read. You can actually get an instant read non digital thermometer within the $10 range, they will last forever. You gotta know how to read it. Which is simple but there's a reason people prefer digital clocks over analog.

It takes time to step into the realm beyond burgers and hot dogs :whoa:

Before I even attempted to serve stuff to people I'd do it by myself until I know I got it down. I felt that pain, don't nothing hurt more than you making something and your son asking can he have a PBJ instead :russ:

Unless you have somebody that knows what they are doing watching you step by step, when grilling for the first few times you're probably going to mess up :yeshrug:(well, in the age of youtube, they is a bit less of an excuse)

Even experienced grillers can mess up if they are using a grill they are not familiar with.

Biggest mistake new grillers make is cooking directly over charcoal when it comes to chicken, ribs, etc. And opening the lid too much, which gives the charcoal too much air and causes flare ups.

you think cause you watched a 30 second TikTok from some a$$hole you gonna produce a perfect juicy crusted ribeye first shot :skip:
Sometimes you just need a lil guidance, and a 30 sec tik tok just does the trick sometimes. However learning how to master the grill is a combination of general cooking skills and bbq techniques.
