Terrell Davis being in the HOF is laughable.

To be fair, Terry Bradshaw is one of the most overrated QB’s of all time. Some years he completed less than 50% of this passes.

Also, back then hitting WR’s beyond 5 yards was legal.

The Steel Curtain made it possible for any players on offense. And they ran the ball a lot.
He played in the 1970s aka the Deadball era DUMB ASS

No QBs really had tremendous numbers until 1978 when the NFL changed the rules

He has 4 SBs and won NFL MVP in 78

You’re horrible

I wouldn't have voted him in personally if I had a vote but I can see the logic
That peak is legitimately one of the best peaks for a RB in NFL history
Top 3 in MVP voting all 3 years, winning 1
All Pro 1st team all 3 years
2x Super Bowl Champion taking home Super Bowl MVP in one of them
His postseason numbers were absolutely cartoonish all time levels in those Super Bowl runs too

That peak is probably a top 5 all time peak for any RB ever.

Like I said, I personally wouldn't have voted for him but I don't agree that it's laughable to have voted for him

That being said, Sterling Sharpe still not getting in is pure bullshyt cause at the time that was an all time peak for a receiver. He should be in too using similar logic that got Davis and Tony Boselli inducted
Boselli gettin in to me is kinda wack because lineman don’t touch the football

There should be clear benchmarks for a LT, 10-12 years with like 5-7 1st team All Pros..

If Terrell made it Priest Holmes should definitely make it

TD‘a playoff performances sets him apart, imo

But you can make a case for Priest Holmes.

The unknown
This prompted me to start looking at players who are in that are questionable. :manny:

Davis was a big reason why the Broncos won, but then you look at the two years following those titles. First Olandis Gary rushes for 1,159 yards in only 12 games. The next season Mike Anderson rushes for 1,487 yards while only starting 12 games. SO was it all Terrell Davis or did he have a ton of help with that offensive line?

I'll say he was talented but the OL definitely helped out as you alluded to. 4 years of greatness just seems short for the HoF

So did Fran Tarkenton. So did Roger Staubauch.

Bradshaw was ass. Numbers don’t lie. Even in the 70’s. He road the coattails of the Steel Curtain and just handed off to Franco half the time. He even admitted it.

He beat Staubach twice in 2 SBs

Bradshaw was the ultimate big game QB

Staubach and Tarkenton have no MVPs either

Edit: I forgot Tarkenton won MVP in 1975

He threw 20 picks

Defense held opponents to under 10 points 6 times and only gave up more than 20 two times.

They ran the ball almost 300 more times than they passed. That MVP was a Steelers award. Archie Manning and Roger Staubauch had better seasons.

nikkas shytting on Lynn Swann I understand his numbers are pedestrian. He didn’t play long he had lots of concussions but he made some of the greatest catches in SB history and played on the greatest dynasty in NFL history

He was an acrobat

He was a superstar

I won’t go that far since his cupboard does outdo Priest handily, but he’d get my vote anyway :wow:

That Willie Roaf shyt……breh. :wow:

That was one of the first players I found out had a whole damn career before I knew him. When I found out :gucci:

The 1st two SBs the Steelers won they ran it the 2nd 2 they won them shyts THROUGH THE AIR

It was bombs away to Swann and Stallworth for the 2nd 2 hence Bradshaw winning NFL MVP in 1978

Bradshaw made all the big plays when it mattered

There is no way the 56th ranked rusher in the NFL’s history, who also played modern football, should be in the Hall of Fame. 56…..like LT’s number. :snoop: It’s alright to like a player and to think he’s pretty good and him still not belong.

There were multiple MVP awards back then. Staubach won one in 71 and Fran in 75 if I remember my research correctly.
