Damn i'm kind of bummed out this season is only 10 episodes. Last episode was a total mind fukk. This show could've been huge like "Lost" there's so many directions they can go. Hopefully Netflix picks this up
it a mini series based on 3 books

they did the first book for the first 5 episodes

The whole scene with the teacher giving the kids porno and telling them to start fukking was :russ:. Ben and Amy didn't get the kind of bang they were expecting in the truck :lolbron:.

I still have major issues with the whole secrecy angle, even with the reveal of what happened to Group A last week. They have one of the Abbies captured, why not show footage to that to everyone who wants to rebel or simply take them on a helicopter ride like they did Ethan and show them what's up. Then if they really want to make it on their own, let them outside the fence :yeshrug:.

So if you just woke up tomorrow and every single thing you knew was gone forever because you were kidnapped, you would just obey the status quo?

Pelcher didn't invest in them to simply let them "make it on their own" aka get mauled by abbies. He invested in them to continue preserve the human race.

And they address exactly why he doesn't just let everyone know the truth...they tried it once, it lead to anarchy.

I do agree that they should have some kind of "awakening program for the adults as well though. Slowly let them know the truth gauging those who can take it and will fight (like Ethan) vs those who will slip into depression. Seems like those undertaking elaborate escape plans would be more likely to be like Ethan and be able to handle the truth. So actually as I edit this I get your point....better to try to reason with them than going straight to a reckoning, which just creates more insurgents.

Nah, that was my point. That Pilcher should realize that he can't keep the adults in the dark like that and expect them not to rebel. If you show them the consequences of what lies outside the fence, you might cut down on the rebellion.

Exactly, the way he did about it with Group A was wrong by letting them all in on the secret at once and not showing evidence of the Abbies. Of course if you told someone it was 4028 and the human race was wiped out, they most likely wouldn't believe you. It took Ethan first hand experience and basically getting a welcome tour before he smartened up. If Kate got the same tour, instead of being kept in the dark for 12 yrs she wouldn't be planting bombs.

Even though this show has its flaws and its holes, I gotta give them major props for not fukking around with the mythology.

I'm tired of mystery shows having inconsistent or non-existent or never-resolved mythology. From big ones like Lost, to lesser ones like The Event, Flash Forward, and Under the Dome, its ridiculous that writers have so little respect for the viewers that they give us that bullshyt.

This show said right from the start: Here is the mythology. We will write our story based on this mythology. Anything that happens in this show must stem from this existing mythology. And we aren't going to stretch this out, we are going to present it for the viewing audience.

:salute:to the guy that wrote this novel and to Fox for presenting it how it should be presented instead of b*stardizing it to stretch the dollar. I'm even gonna give M. Night Shamylan a :salute:for keeping his filthy hands off this shyt and giving us nothing but his name and not ruining it

I'm real surprised at how few plot holes there are. If they can give me a good explanation for where the food and supplies come from I'm gonna be completely satisfied:leon:. I mean....its stupid that the broken cars and guitars would still be stored there 2000 years later, but I guess they decided to hold onto them during their cryogenic suspension rather than risk getting caught disposing of them.

Overall, season gets an 8.5/10 from me so far. We'll see how it wraps up.

2 episodes left, hope the Abbies comes to feast on the town. Maybe now isn't the time to pull your security people from their job for a team meeting, why terrorists with stolen trucks are on the loose :mjlol:

So instead of maybe showing Kate one creature, you lock her up and let her think she is crazy. Try to reform her, only for her to become more motivated to escape and disrupt your ecosystem :francis:.

So instead of taking Kate out of prison and showing her the truth, so maybe she can tell you her groups plans or where they might be hiding you go visit your ungrateful son in the hospital :ehh:.

Issues I have with the show aside, I will say that Hope Davis is doing a good job in playing the creepy teacher. Clear and severe :demonic:

:dead: at the Monsters :eat:the terrorists literary seconds after they got out of Wayward Pines.

I don't think they will get in the town though, the truck was stuck in the wall so they had no way of getting in :ld:
