I sure as fukk wouldn’t pay to watch a rematch.

But I’m hearing that the fight did crazy PPV numbers (over 1.5million buys). With that kind of money on the table, he’ll most likely take the rematch (which he shouldn’t tbh). The rematch will do more than that.

Spence has no answer for Bud. The only advantages he had were his size/chin & banking on walking Bud down until he wears him out. But when you’re getting hurt by a jab - you have no chance even if they’re to move the fight to 160. Bud has the faster hands, foot speed, can take his punch, more skilled, great on the inside, is ambidextrous & is a switch hitter & can switch from orthodox to southpaw & still be elite (Bud is even better at southpaw than Mayweather ever was but doesn’t have Mayweather’s defensive skills/brain).

You know Spence has no chance when he had to fight on the back foot (which he has never done in his career) in rd 8. :russ: And Bomac telling Bud that Spence is done in rd 7 & all he needed to do is just catch & shoot.:wow:

I’m no causal but also not a diehard so I’m genuinely asking this :whoa: :

Why does it seem every boxer becomes a ‘record’ champion at some point? Like it’s really just a technicality.

Feels like every boxer that gets pushed is ‘first ever 4 division champ’ or ‘first to hold all 4 belts’. From Crawford to Haney to shakur even back to adrien Broner who wasn’t even elite for long. Seems like such a formality/technicality

Masterclass of boxing by Bud here. He exposed Spence in a lot of areas… That rematch is going to nuts.
:childplease:

They already aren’t the type to fake trash talk and promote (which I liked), so there really is nothing there. Even if they tried it’d fall flat.

We won’t see a rematch. Theres enough big money boxing fights out there that boxing doesn’t need prt 2 of this

Terence Crawford is 35 years old.
Canelo Alvarez is 33.

Crawford looked amazing tonight.
I think you have a good debate on your hands if you think he’s been the greatest boxer of his generation tho.

:hubie:
Yeah, Crawford may be a better fighter, but Canelo has the better resume by far.
If Crawford didn't resign with Top Rank after clearing out 140, he would have a better resume and a stronger argument for being best boxer of this generation. I don't blame him for taking the money though, self-preservation comes first.

That back foot fighting/stance and running was troubling.

A brother I watched earlier brought up a great point that I agree with. He said he felt EJ want drained. But since EJ been at 147 for YEARS, he wasn't able to focus on strength training an build muscle because it'd put him over weight.

Meanwhile Bud was using all this time to fully bulk himself up to not only withstand Errols power but to surpass his altogether. EJ put himself at a disadvantage by not being able to strength train and punish cats like he's used to.

I think we see a return to form at 154 IF THAT ASSESSMENT PROVES TRUE. Either way, I got major love for Errol because he was a man of his word only getting the outcome of this fight wrong. He could've ducked but made sure Al Haymon made this fight. Thank You bro

Exactly only Spence fans and complete casuals think there should be a rematch
No. Men and people that actually enjoy competition think there should be a rematch. Not because he's owed or entitled or because of the contract but because he's a man, men compete with each other. If that means he has to get his ass beat again, then that's the way it has to be. As a man you don't refuse to compete. That's not natural for a man.
