Technically, what can Superman do to stop the Juggernaut?

Superman has never beaten Dr. Manhattan. Honestly, it wouldn't have made sense considering how easily Manhattan dismissed DC's superheroes sans the Trinity. Manhattan is on a different level; yes, even from Superman.

Gladiator can't one shot Juggernaut.

No, Hyperion is Marvel's take on Superman (exact same powers, very similar origin, etc). Sentry only resembles Superman in really superficial ways (fast, strong, durable, can fly), but their characters and abilities are pretty different beyond that.

Honestly, that shyt is goofy. Not because Juggernaut beat Hulk, but how he did it. You mean to tell me that Professor Hulk was fooled by Juggernaut in street clothes? Dumb shyt.

Over Darkseid, Doomsday, and Brainiac? Bullshyt. Strength isn't all their is to being a good fighter.
Juggernaut survives fights with all of them. Of course is a teleportation out but full strength, empowered Juggernaut really isnt going anywhere unless he gets bored.

When did Superman beat Dr. Manhattan? :wtf:

If Gladiator one shotted Juggernaut what makes you think Supes can't? :what:

In the latest issue (Annhiliation ..something) it took Gladiator and a bunch of other heroes to even hold down the Sentry. Isn't the Sentry supposed to be Marvel's Superman? :patrice:
Na, Sentry is on a whole other level....

Gladiator gets his powers from his confidence....

Dr. Manhattan is a God, come on...

You're just going to drop this without context?

That was King Hyperion (an evil, alternate reality version who is powerful enough to fight two other Hyperions at once) and a Juggernaut operating at less than full power (Cytorak took some of his power back after Juggernaut used the Uni-Power to fix tectonic plates IIRC).

Edit: I was mistaken. Marko lost Cytorak's power after accepting the Serpent's hammer in Fear Itself, but was temporarily granted power by an alternate universe Cytorak thanks to Man-Thing.

Peak Supes was moving planets. That guy is taking out Juggernaut with a single punch.

Supes main problem as it pertains to his power is lazy writing and trying to keep him earthbound. They had to keep nerfing his ass to keep it realistic that someone on Earth could actually pose a threat to him. Lex Luther has gotten so many bullshyt ass reasons as to why Supes just doesn't destroy him and everything that he owns. They keep having to create reasons to keep him on Earth instead of letting him hit the cosmos. My favorite Supes writing was when he was out in space actually fighting

I'm laughing at the ridiculousness that occurs everytime someone starts a vs thread.

Attosecond reaction times and flying to the end of the universe in a week:russ:

That doesn't sound silly to you?

Comic book writers jumped the shark with these power ups. This is why I gave up on American comics. One writer overpowers them, the next writer retcons it, next writer retcons the retcon, etc.

He went from faster than a speeding bullet to traversing the universe like it's nothing.

Yes this is exactly the issue with comic debates because Superman or a character will do all that in one run, then in another he'll fail to stop Bill Batson from saying SHAZAM because he wasn't fast enough to get to him. Or Supergirl will catch a green K laced Batarang but it'll still cut her skin because she wasn't fast enough to brace for the force of the throw, etc.

This is always why I ask for "versions" of the characters because while I do enjoy the debates, if we just gonna go to peak showings and not consider the weaker ones, what's the point?

You can literally say the same thing about any super being.

Superman under some writers is the strongest character in fiction and other different writers he's just one of the strongest guys on earth. If you gonna discuss Superman, you really gotta set the terms under how you judge him or how he's being written. Its not outlandish to say the character has been very inconsistent for most of his existence.

How ya'll liking that Bendis Superman??? :lolbron:

Superman been around for 80 years right now. Not really surprising his character arch changes time to time.

Idk why you posted this scan, but Hyperion would have won that fight without interference. Juggernaut has really good regen, but he's not immortal. With enough effort and intent to kill, Superman can do exactly what Hyperion was doing, except he'd finish the job and probably melt the skin off his face and then crush his skull, and liquify his brains. Then probably rip the Ruby of Cytorrak out of his body

No he wouldn't.

He'd try to recite a PSA about how to be a better person.

Nope. He doesnt age as Juggernaut. So he is immortal as long as he has the powers. And he isnt melting no fukking full power Juggernaut...lol. He doesnt even fight like that...wild.
