‘How long can you stare at your wife?’: L&T chairman SN Subrahmanyan wants employees to work on Sundays too, sparks outrage

"What do you do sitting at home? Go to the office and start working," Subrahmanyan said in a leaked internal video. He cited a conversation about Chinese workers' 90-hour weeks versus Americans' 50 hours to justify the stance.

You can get into software development a find a job- if you're desperate enough or your job search has not gone well.

Go through the software training to Indian body shop pipeline.

Some examples:

There's a TON of these. When folks talk about how Indians are hiring their own, this is one way they're doing it.

These DO NOT pay well (~50-60K) and will probably have you sign some agreement that you can't find alternative employment for up to 2 years.

I know this happened in December, but Yahoo's popular red team "The Paranoids" were completely laid off and was outsourced:

Then these nikkas gonna say this:

“Yahoo’s security program has matured significantly over the past seven years and is widely recognized as a world-class, industry-leading operation. As part of this evolution, we’ve made strategic adjustments, including transitioning offensive security operations to an outsourced model,”

This isn't an evolution for your program, its quite the fukking opposite.

Count your blessings fam. I had no idea engineers were being low balled this much.

@Insensitive i see the pivot.

Yeah, some of the salaries I've seen are :scusthov:
And now I'm moving from mid-career to Senior-tier, I basically won't consider anything
under $100k.

And while my niche offers a lot of $100k+ opportunities, it's very, very hard to break out of
that $120k/$130k realm.

That's why I've decided to move away from Hardware based stuff for the time being.
Seems like the software guys are eating well across the board, even where I'm at.
Like for the same pay grade there's a $10k to $15k difference :pachaha:

Outsourced model :wow:

These companies maybe playing wit fire, Laying off highly skilled people.

Especially when most systems aren’t nearly that robust.

Will be looking to make that pivot...the problem is the tech money is too good.
The stress of having your job outsourced can’t be….

The board of directors want war. They see our livelihood as just another blood sucking pathogen cell in an excel sheet.

There’s zero disregard for our labor and sometimes loyalty.

That yahoo article I just read, really hit because after laying people, the board start talking about making it easier to be profitable. It’s truly sick.

Here’s the thing, you have to pay for talent.

Just like when these board member buy groceries. I know they’re not shopping at 7/11. They’re buying food from Whole Foods and Sprouts.

Labor is the same way. There some things you can’t cut corners on. It’s the cost of doing great business. Taking shortcuts cost you in the long run.

Yet idiots like this run companies.

They’re playing with fire ,at the moment. Having a bunch of unemployed cybersecurity experts, who were forcefully laid off isn’t the brightest idea.

Even at&t is starting to outsource cyber security functions over seas. They have laid thousands of people over the years.

The previous CEO made a lot of terrible investments such as buying direct TV while streaming was emergency. Still got his golden parachute while everyone got fukked over.

Times like this Trump’s America First rhetoric maybe justified. There is no way AT&T should be employing that hard in India unless they have Indian assets.
