People really thought Trump was going to get rid of h1b visas? That would make every corporation have to hire people at an actual living wage overnight.
Under his last administration H1-B visa denials skyrocketed. But immigration policy for this new administration will be set by whoever wins the Civil War between MAGA and Silicon Valley tech bros. Trump created a monster he can't really control and it's coming back to bite him and his rich donors.

@JT-Money do you think Donald Trump and Tom Homan will report a lot of illegal immigrants similar to how Dwight Eisenhower did in the 1950s? How do you think it will play out?

Trump is mostly all talk on deportations. Until they start going after companies hiring illegals or abusing the visa system. Nothing much is gonna change.

But they've convinced their supporters mass deportations are imminent. When that doesn't happen they'll be a huge backlash for them politically.

Companies have gotten used to having a labor force with very little rights. They wouldn't know what to do if they could only hire Americans again. An Indian guy on my team working overseas. Says they have to give a months notice before resigning for a new job. Companies can abuse them at will and their is nothing they can do about it. While those of us in America can just up and quit when we get ready. Trump isn't gonna do much to change that dynamic.

i'm curious do you just prompt it or paste a block of relevant text along with a question to parse the data?
Given my permissions…

Bash isn’t accessible.

So I’m uploading python/dag scripts which automatically go off or are scheduled

i'm kinda confused by this response but looking back I don't think I phrased my question correctly.

when you're getting responses with hallucinations from LLM's, are you simply prompting it(asking a question) or asking a question and including a block of text like relevant documentation it can parse to give you the info you need like a needle in a haystack?

I sometimes prompt LLM's including the readme or the outout of a program --help to then get it to construct commands with additional parameters .

years ago I had a cheap dreamhost server package that gave me limited permissions and constantly killed high cpu apps so i just abused the fukk out of screen and while true loops to keep download scripts alive

Mixed, sometimes I’ll say something like

“In python, using a dag, in GCP, go from sFTP to BQ”.

I’ve seen a lot of bs from these results. I have it down right now.

Pay attention that dude is saying software engineering as a career is not dead, but enhanced.

Sure a company can have 1 person taking on the tasks of 10 other people by using A.I.

However, what if another company had 100 people like that doing the same?

The latter company will seriously outclass the former company.

Yea, just another bottom line tradeoff. How much in salary for each of those positions vs what can be produced
