The fact that I know a chick, dumb as rocks that got a check for an ethnic e-commerce site.

Went from driving Lyft / Uber to a start up founder :dead:
it's usually women and them hustle man cats that used to be party promoters who drink the kool aid calling themselves founder the same way chick who sells edibles calls herself a CEO not realizing CEO is a job role within a corporation and not a single employee business lol

:whoo:

Software engineers were the most overrepresented position in layoffs in 2023, relative to their employment, according to data requested by Vox from workforce data company Revelio Labs. Last year, when major tech layoffs first began, recruiters and customer success specialists experienced the most outsize impact. So far this year, nearly 20 percent of the 170,000 tech company layoffs were software engineers, even though they made up roughly 14 percent of employees at these companies.

Well I’m telling you from 1st hand experience inside these companies.
There are a lot of jobs in tech. I also in the industry, and we're laying people off and bolstering up GenAI efforts.

It's not a coincidence.

I worked for several companies that fired people left and right over this. But people in Management we're just as bad. They did everything from their mobile phones and we're never at home. But somehow escaped punishment unlike the rank and file workers.

You gotta be a real fool to do some shyt like that :russ: . You gotta at least keep the computer awake for most of the day, do the minimum of the minimum and feign productivity.

I load up an internal video site and let it go :mjlol: . "Sorry I missed your message, I stepped away." Meanwhile I'm headed back into a late morning nap before I get some gaming going.

Had no idea about this:

So this is called burying the lede

The analysis looked at which roles are most likely to be terminated, and then the gender demographics of these roles

So what this is really saying is that women predominately are hired into certain roles - eg. marketing and recruiting - that these companies are more likely to fire

Which is basically same as it is at every company

I hate surveillance, but can’t the company just put a program on employee computer and monitor what they are doing? I assumed my company did that. They have programs that can monitor shyt like this. Problem solved.
