FIFA does not need a women's world cup and they're lucky to break even but they don't care because this tournament is purely staged for PR purposes...
Bottomline is all these women bytching about their pay not being equal to their male counterparts need to learn basic sports economics...

That's US revenue overall, USA doesn't pay World Cup earnings FIFA does. And the revenue FIFA takes in for the women's world cup is far less then the men's

LOL FIFA pays that prize. Do we really have to explain who pays 440 mil dollar prize? USA men's soccer team is not generating much revenue to FIFA. It's all those countries that can actually win it, unlike USA men's soccer team that will never hold that trophy.
What this graph shows is that women's team, that's been dominating FIFA women's tournament is generating nearly as much revenue as USA men's team who are nearly irrelevant to FIFA.
