I think the us soccer players when they appear on games get the same amount of money as the men from USA soccer

What she is talking about is the fifa purse, kind of like how Wimbledon was paying men more than women but now it’s equal


Again it’s not happening the men’s fifa World Cup has way so many teams the tv package is sold worldwide for billions and billions of dollars, just look ar how much money was put into Qatar for the next World Cup

Tennis is a completely different story though because women's tennis matches generate revenue...

The gap between the men and the women is not that wide...

Look at the stadium attendance numbers in this women's world cup...

Not one single sell out and the viewership numbers probably didn't break a billion again...

The revenue gap is too drastically wide to demand equal pay...

I agreed. I feel like the us womens team do better than the men every year.

They do better vs far less talented and athletic teams. This is why women will never get equal pay in sports. Men are naturally more athletic and skilled in sports. Women just play it because they Xs and Ys got all screwed up while growin up and think they are entitled to being paid equal.

i do think the women should get a bigger payout though. Doesn't have to be as much as the men but the gap should be closer. I'd like to assume the women's world cup is generating some decent money.....don't know for sure though

It makes a fraction of what the men's World Cup generates which is why the men's teams gets a much larger share.

Comparing the men's and women's game isn't fair. This is the same team that got beat by a U15 boys team. Put the USMNT on the same pitch as the USWNT and the men would win 1000 times out of 1000 in embarrassingly large fashion. The women have had Title IX help them lap the International community which doesn't care of women's sports at all. It's a bad comparison and doesn't take into consideration the factors such as competition which are a reason for their success.

Also, what the women leave out is that they're paid a salary and benefits by the US federation. The men don't.

The US federation also funds the NWSL
