Tay roc is gettin love for being a great performer. A great performer will get crowd reaction for just saying some tough shyt, hitman does this all the time and no one complains. Damn near his whole first round vs Con was him just talkin to him. You can't penalize roc because the crowd is reacting to his shyt before he gets to the punch. and saying roc won this battle isn't goin along blindly as a fan. A lot of the same nikkas givin roc the battle don't even like him like that. He just had a good performance here. I think the few gassed lines are turnin yall off from roc's shyt completely.

When people say "They put on a great performance" what exactly do they mean? Cause to me, it seems like if the crowd reacts you're putting on a great performance to people

Like I remember people saying Tech 9 had a great performance at Summer Madness 1, but all he did was basically stand there and rap. Every once in a while he'd address the crowd or scream in Miles face, but he didn't really perform, but people will say "His performance was crazy". shyt is confusing

To me, performance is how you sell your lines.

Great vocal projection to me is performance, thats what Tech had. Wild aggression is performance to me. The way you move around the stage is performance to me. Being overall entertaining is performance to me. I guess you can say all of that is selling your bars Performance in battle rap means alot of things. Charlie clips doesn't really move around alot but he's considered right behind hitman in that category.

from what I saw, Roc did nothing extra for his bars to get the reaction they did. Yet he got three times the reaction. Most likely that was because he had the better mic

It can't be the OTHER way? nikkas just couldn't feel his raps more? shyt he was rocking to me... His shyt just came across better... Like I said before... A lot of these nikkas (besides Lux) are gonna start "dumbing their shyt down" nikkas are getting flamed up there because the crowd isn't digesting their bars easy... nikkas that got shyt that's slick and they can "perform" are gonna body nikkas in the building.. These battlers just gotta figure where they wanna win at.
