He is basically saying not to hold him acoc*ntable. You do not put yourself in the position of a leader, charge people to hear you speak, do the movies about racism, tell black people what we need to do collectively, and then say don't follow you. That is beyond stupid. That's like me saying I am not a babysitter, but I babysit peoples kids all the time and take money for babysitting them.

Exactly.....

Well you're a baby sitter he is an advisor. You can give advise get paid for it and not be a leader. I talk to people about Racism and history all the time and I'm no leader.

Since you think he is trying to be a leader where is he leading people to? I don't see him in doing nothing to lead people. Spartacus now that guy was a leader.

IF YOU CAN'T SEPERATE THE BULLshyt TARIQ DOES FROM THE GOOD STUFF HE SAYS AND DOES YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE MAN AND SHOULDN'T COME IN ANY OF THE THREADS ABOUT THE DUDE.

Folk be looking for leaders and don't even know it.

i never compared them to his lectures

but much of the world and his fanbase doesnt have the means to attend his lectures, financially or geographically

im not saying he needs to wear a suit, but charging $66 for a 2 hour lecture and you can't buy a mic and some batteries for a fukking smoke detector? :what:

some regular youtube blogger whoever, not such a big deal, but the irony of someone telling someone to put their best foot forward when they just record themselves acting like a bytch in a 1 bedroom apartment with snotty ass kids bangin at the door is thick as fukk

and the only reason he's saying "put your best foot forward" is to emphasize the fact that he had to sit in a hot car and didn't get a dressing room :pachaha: so where do these high expectations come from exactly?

He was on the road, usually he has it at his home office, which has a better camera and setting overall.

:ehh: that's better i guess. irony is still there. he's recording something, not like he had to improvise.

to be honest i dont give a shyt about any of this. just found it amusing that he wanted to bite into dude while coming off like a bum himself

Man. Stop the bullshyt. Black people shouldn't accept poor conditions, no matter what. People paid 60 plus dollars to attend the lecture. It's not ok to have people in subpar venues and having a venue that is not easily accessible is not ok either.

pretty much.

One can argue that Tariq shouldn't have said all this on his ustream show, but unfortunately for blackking, Tariq wasn't wrong about what he said.

See it from Tariq's perspective: as far as the people are concerned, this is Tariq's event and Tariq put together. His name is all over it. So the last thing he wants is to be associated with charging people a good amount of money for a lecture with technical difficulties at a subpar setting. Especially when Tariq has been going in on people doing subpar shyt, that's makes him look like a hypocrite for sure.

Plus, showing up late to meeting up the talent you invited? Telling your talent you aren't there yet cuz you were "handling business" elsewhere? Said talent doesn't know where you are, who he's supposed to meet up with, and when you are actually arriving? Those are BIG no-no's in event managing. Most big time talents or aspiring big time talents would smile to your face and say it was all good but will never call you again for your services.

But apparently, it was blackking's first time. I hope this event launches some lucrative avenues for him.

Let's be honest, Tariq isn't a leader (within the context of your post) by any stretch of the imagination. We all know this. And to his credit, he is honest about it.

I see him as someone with good information on various issues, and thus use the good info and try to put it to good use. Nothing more. You can still hold him accountable by questioning the info he gives out, and calling him out when he is wrong.

I listened to this shyt yesterday and didn't even know Lou was someone from the Coli. :heh:

I understand where Tariq was coming from with his stance. It did seem like he was going in on dude a bit much, but it's only because dude wasn't trying to accept the criticism and was pretty much in his feelings the whole time. That's what made the shyt mad long and drawn out.

1st he say he busy, but is constantly able to text Tariq venting his emotions at dude even though he didn't hear shyt for himself.

Then dude didn't wanna acknowledge he was late or was on some janky promoting shyt.

Lastly dude kept going on about how he didn't care, even though we all knew he did since you could tell he was upset.

If dude would have just admitted he wasn't on top of his game and been more open to Tariq's constructive criticism, he wouldn't have had to get drilled so bad and clowned for 2 hours. nikkas gotta be humble, especially when someone is trying to lace you with game/advice. That was one of Tariq's main points about clowning dude.

I don't always agree with everything Tariq does or say, but I don't think he did anything wrong in this instance.
That shyt played out as a lesson for other aspiring promoters so :manny:

Basically, Blackking (LOU) was treating the transaction like a weed sale done by an emotional BULL DIKE ("one & done"). Flex was trying to lace his dumbass with game so his next transaction wont be done as poorly. You can tell Lou never had a stable/productive male figure around him at all.It was just his mama's mouf, his sisters' moufs, and a bunch of aunties and sista girls running their moufs in his house. You can tell. Flex would have eased up if you just admitted that you were late. :snoop: Dumb nicca shyt. :wow:

Show wasn't cancelled. It came off as a success... don't reach for extremes or hypotheticals to make a point
Did the show go off FLAWLESSLY? Without a HITCH?
No, it fukking DID NOT, so SIR I don't need to reach for HYPOTHETICALS to make my point. In case you missed it, which obviously you did, my point was that LOU fukkED UP on more than one occasion and he can improve on those aspects.

True or fukking FALSE? (male answers please :feedme:)
Well if TRUE, the possibility therein lies that he could have fukkED UP even WORSE than HE DID and it could have possibly led to these MAGICAL Hypotheticals which you feel are "out of bounds." The show could have gone better and his flaws need addressing.

Fugg outta my face, nicca. :camby:

If you want to say all of this then why invite Tariq. He's moved a level passed this. You want Kanye to perform at the Rink Key Dink in Detroit or where ever. This I am owe mentality that you brothas have is setting us back into the slavery times more than any c00n, buffoon or benwench ever could do to us.

If you want to host this at this type of venue then invite Dr. Umar Johnson or someone who brings a crowd but not a very large one with proven success to consistently raise over 100k with each event. Hell, invite Fem Jones then but see, BK wanted that check and profits. Ppl will come to see Tariq, they won't come to see someone without that credibility. I did music promos in college. It cost to get legit talent. It is what it is. Their credibility ain't free.
What makes you think Tariq is that major?Only cats that look at YouTube really follow this nikka. I mean really,is this cat even that big like Farrakhan or Khalid Muhhamad which would get 500 to 1.2k followers before the advent of YouTube.I know Farakhan and Khalil have sold events with over 10k attendees , I'm not going to by measley revenue either after the fact Tariq charges people $100 to join a think tank and Umar is still into coercing donators to contribute to some bogus fund.Fem Jones is a non factor ,but she probably would sell just as much as Tariq at a venue.

Tariq has been doing this shyt for how long and he still has not that much of a large following compared to major contenders out here, this nikka is not even bigger than Eddie Long.

So, you think it's acceptable for an event to be held in a raggedy venue? :dahell:

If Tariq is that professional he would of known what kind of venue he was attending? Tariq has accused the conscious community of being broke but yet he still sells to them,WTF? What do you expect? Maybe Tariq should work on his due diligence for the most part and STFU.

Tariq is doing the same thing as these other fly-by-night YouTube personalities are doing which is going to venues and talking a whole bunch of crap. The same the conscious community he accuses of being broke and minor,is the same community he takes material from,so in the end he knows he has no choice but to deal with Conscious Community, which results in him getting the broke and minor people. Sometimes you are the company you keep.

But BlackKing brought this on himself by putting fools like Tariq on a pedestal, acting like Tariq can sell out the Staples Center or something. @1:16:00 of the vid Tariq bytched the shyt out of him and made him a stepson.

I see where you are coming from. Honestly I think black people are afraid to be our own leaders. We should come together when it is needed but we also need to be our own leaders and stop looking for people like Umar, Tariq, jason black, and etc to follow. Continuously relying on others allows charlatans to enter into the community and rob people.

To be honest it's a bit toxic to come together and at this moment. But the real leaders need to be put back in their place and the posers need to be 86'd.
I don't know how individuals like Jason Black,Tariq,or Umar got so much popularity.

LOL yeah I was blocked on his Facebook group, because he would make certain post to just make complete fun of people instead of having an open honest constructive discussion. I disagreed and he demanded that I had to call into his show. These pro black pseudo celebrities need to relax.

This is why I stayed neutral between his and Tommy's beef. I'm going to get a lot of HATE for saying this but Tommy WAS NOT repeat NOT in the wrong in the beef. Thats why I stayed neutral and it actually surprised me. You know why? Because the Black Authority was not only going ham/dissing the African girl for asking why he is friends with Melissa Ortiz who celebrated Trayvon's death and is biracial. He got butthurt(he doesnt like people challenging him on his podcast). BUT more importantly he was dissing the African girls FEATURES AND NAME!!!!:ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::ohmy:

That's what made me look at TBA differently ever since then. Tommy won that beef and I dislike Tommy a lot...

I cant watch TBA podcast more than 20 minutes because its all about elementary name calling and highschool gossiping instead of discussing "building" like he preaches.

Also look at who he idolizes, Eldridge Cleaver. I dont care if Cleaver was a Black Panther, he raped a lot of black women and was a psycho so much that the BPP wanted him gone. That's who TBA idolizes????
