What's talking to a man like a child? He didn't call him son or kid. He was cordial. The only thing you could disagree with was him talking about it for so long but that was because BK was texting and talking offline and then called up and wasn't really trying to hear anything. I like BK, my dude but this is the same reason why Brooklyn and cook banned him for. He wants things his way with little to no regard for others and how this comes off on their reputation. No one is going to know this was Bk's event. They will know that Tariq had an event and it was hard to find in the docks and it wasn't comfortable and should I break bread to see Tariq the next time might be a tad bit challenging if I am not a hardcore supporter. Think about it all around. This is the problem with us brothas, we don't get the big picture. We looking at the biscuit and not the ingredients that makes the products so we can eat forever.

BK was completely wrong in this. As a business person, I see this as a bad experience but something to learn from and improve for the next event.

Tariq mentions, I like nice dressing rooms,nice stage and nice seatings.SMH The nikka doesn't realize he is dealing with conscious community and is grassroots many of it is in the hood,so what do you expect?Tariq already called the conscious community broke, so what does he expect if thats what they are to him?!But thats what puzzles me, Tariq would ask for support from these same dudes yet he still disrespects many individuals in it.Vice Versa, the conscious Community has heard Tariq make smart remarks about them but they still attend and support his events.lol .

If you want to say all of this then why invite Tariq. He's moved a level passed this. You want Kanye to perform at the Rink Key Dink in Detroit or where ever. If you want to host this at this type of venue then invite Dr. Umar Johnson or someone who brings a crowd but not a very large one with proven success to consistently raise over 100k with each event. Hell, invite Fem Jones then but see, BK wanted that check and profits. Ppl will come to see Tariq, they won't come to see someone without that credibility. I did music promos in college. It cost to get legit talent. It is what it is. Their credibility ain't free.

A man who's spoken before how's there's a lack of wealth and resources in the black community is surprised some of his speaking engagements may occur in venues that are run down and aren't up to code should be reasonable to realize that he has to make due and keep focus on the big picture.
