HipHop, presented as a 4 element culture started in the Bronx but the individual parts came from various parts of NYC and some, even outside of NY

The more accurate statement is. Most the pioneers of hip hop culture, are of Caribbean descent.
@No_bammer_weed why you dapping this nonsense? :mjlol:
I am using politics because judging by your mentality

your daddy and grand daddy would NOT HAVE welcomed herc
YOU would not have welcomed Akademiks

hence your maga wite mindset trying to HATE the east coast
son of the confederacy
This is a bunch of MSNBC/TheRoot political spin nonsense being used just so you can shoehorn others into the creation of hip hop. I could easily see The Root doing the type of spin you’re doing. “Giving black Americans credit for hip hop is Xenophobic and exposes neo conservative mindsets” Article by Sally Ann Braithwaithe

Magaman....what I am saying specifically is that hip hop could not have been birthed in the environment you from

all you know are racist wites
that has framed your mindset

if kool herc moved in your city/town in the 70's would he have been welcomed?
if Akademiks moved in your city/town in the 90's would he have been welcomed?
what about Puerto Rican Fat Joe?
Asian China Mac?

new yorkers are curious
most blk americans in ny can tell the difference between an African and Caribbean person
even down to the accents
and specific countries/islands
like to know where a person from and ask questions
for example most brooklyn guys can talk patois and understand it
know haitian, trini, guyanese slang etc

you can learn something

why you avoid me?

your parents are BOTH Jamaican
yet you completely disregard and disrespect the culture
and immigrants

you personify exactly what I am referring to

you made a choice as to whether you "ados" or "immigrant"

dont worry if you have negative feelings towards yaad people I might feel much worse in certain instances
can be rather savage

Also why is a person not from the east coast giving his opinion. Don’t understand how someone from the other side of this country is giving akademiks a man from NJ a hip hop history lesson on a region that he’s from.

Imagine a FBA New Yorker going to Califnornia and giving some cali nikka G funk lessons and saying he can do that cause the Cali nikka is Belizean…

Because hip hop wasn’t created in a vacuum, it’s an amalgamation/continuation of African American music created in this country from the South, Midwest, West and East Coast. What you cats don’t understand is it’s all connected.

Norfeast groovin…
There are many things that you can credit for the eventual birthing of Rap music including the griot traditions of Africa. A lot of the culture we see today sprung from the seeds of earlier trees. Think of it like a child, two people came together to create someone new. It’s the same concept, Hip Hop culture didn’t spring up from a vacuum but from years or cultural cross pollination throughout the Black world.

oh only your mother?
apologies

I just remember you saying she proud that you still live with her whilst her "blk american friends kick their children out"

you are very unappreciative of your Jamaican mother.....

so how did you become this "super ados" with an immigrant mother?

and would you say NOBODY would you mistake you as a "yaadman"?
just like Akademiks......you fully and totally blk american

Tariq is from Michigan.

But I don't see what region has to do with historical facts. Especially when you're talking to someone who was in middle school during 911.

Everything Akademiks learned about hip-hop history came in the last decade.
