I liked "Smile" and "Barbarian" better, not saying either one of those two knocked the ball out the park, but they were both cool movies. As far as "Talk to Me", I sure hope folks aren't still being the only Black person at the party, as much as they appear to be doing it on the big screen
I also liked "Talk to Me" better, the 2007 movie, based on the life of DC's legendary talk show host, PD Greene. No movie hit me at home the way that one did. It was based on the time I was growing up as a young child in NW, DC. How they were able to still the title of that Black movie, and use it for this mostly White horror movie, I don't know.
