I read the first book so I am scurred about just how faithful the show will be to it.

I'm confused by the time loop aspect. When Jane sent them forward in time again, why wouldn't Quentin run into one of the other 39 versions of himself? If he's been through the same loop over an over, wouldn't they all appear at the same spot at the same time in 2016?
We've seen Jane (as a child) exist at the same time period as Jane (as the Watcher Watch). So its not like there's a rule against multiple versions of the same person at the same time.
I'm not sure what to make of this season, but at least it wasn't boring.

Everything else is having/had their one life lived 39 times so the events that happened before never happens like a phoenix
That shyt just put me in a bad mood. I'm pretty sure Julia broke some records on the amount of Ls a character has taken in a show. Gotdamn...

Thank God, the show has already been renewed for a 2nd season because that was a hell of a cliffhanger.
They certainly mixed elements of the books up (haven't read the 3rd one) to where I'm
about how the story will progress. Certainly Julia is hellbent on revenge after what happened to her , so much so she is turning to The Beast for aid.

After thinking about it, I "get" it now. Jane isn't traveling through time, she's resetting the entire universe. So, no multiple copies of anyone.

That season finale had me all fukked up once it ended. I actually sat there in silence for a minute before I realized I'm gonna have to wait till January 2017 to find out who survived and what Julia is up to with the Beast.

If you are talking about Virginia, she and Josh left a note and dipped out of Fillory I believe. They weren't trying to deal with The Beast again
