Nah breh, I'm not ready to give up on Eli yet, let's see if the giants can fix the o-line during the off season
Did you not see those ints today my giant brethren. Stupid, stupid decisions just like last week with that int towards Beckham that absolutely kills us. It pains me to realize this truth but it is the truth :manny:

I understand our injuries and all of that but its his decision making. It has gotten worse every year after that 2nd Super bowl run.

Reese should be fukking fired this fukking morning brehs. When your RT backup is Charles fukking The Revolving Door Brown, you needs to go.

Its obvious ODB is our play maker you trying to tell me on that drive prior to the last int, we couldn't run a wide receiver reverse or a wide out screen or something to get the ball in his hands.

Oh and btw Reese needs to shut the fukk up too, imploring for down field plays two weeks ago has Eli throwing 7 damn ints. Prior to his comments Eli was playing great, and everytime Eli tries to get the ball into Ruben hands some shyt always happens.

Oh and one more thing, if you want to throw a fade why not put 6'5" Washington in there. Just saying!!!!

Lol sounds like you mean fire McAdoo this morning. I really don't get how you throw 3 fades in the endzone like that. John Lynch made a great point saying that the fade is such a 50/50 play because you're just throwing it up there. Then on the 4th down play there was no real movement from the TEs and the WRs were practically decoys on the outside...wth. How about a playaction at least once?? That was awful.

And it really is wild how the INTs nearly always happen with Randle being the target. I think he gave up on his route because he got touched on that 3rd or 4th INT...and not sure if he didn't run the correct route or if Eli fukked up on the 2nd INT.

Defense held their own yesterday, but SFs offense is all over the place this year. That Crabtree TD was like :comeon:

I don't want Reese fired. When the unknowns or freaks do well, everybody's praising how he found gems & talks about his 2 titles. When we lose, everybody talks about how he didn't provide this or that & needs to go. Reese has been unlucky with a lot of injured drafted players over the years. The O-line is something that can take a few years to rebuild, so I'm hoping this is the last year where it sucks.

Reese could've given out bad contracts instead of playing poker with alotta dudes...and then people would've been mad at that too. One thing that can be pointed to is that he hasn't kept alotta draftees after their rookie contrac. It'll be interesting to see what happens with JPP this offseason, and I believe our cap situation will be better overall.

We're due for a title next year because we play the AFC East. You'll see. :smugdraper:

I was at the game yesterday, so there are a couple of things I noticed...

  • Eli's interceptions were awful. No real way around it. But I haven't seen him do that this season, this was the first game where I've had the full "what the fukk?" reaction.
  • His receivers run awful and incorrect routes on almost every long passing down. I can't tell you how many times it was obvious that a guy was supposed to break and just... didn't.
  • The offensive line needs a full re-work. Maybe draft a LT, Beaty to RT, Pugh to guard, Richburg to center and Schwartz to left guard? Get the best talent in their best positions.
  • Donnell also doesn't run the right routes, but he makes a play on the ball every time. We have to find a way to use that, as they tighten his skillset.
  • The defense doesn't make any plays. We need a player at every level. Another passrusher or a DT that collapses the pocket, a linebacker that can get to the backfield, and a safety.
  • The offense also needs another playmaker. even if it's just a straight up track star who can run seams all day (like cobb-lite) you need a homerun threat for this offense to work
  • Odell is legitimately unguardable. I can't tell you how many times he was open up the sideline (the right sideline specifically) where Eli just didn't have time to step up and throw it.
  • JPP just doesn't seem to beat his man to the QB very much.
  • They have to let moore play, and Bromley too. Let's see what we have in these guys.

People are complaining about the talent at BACKUP right tackle? Fellas, if a tackle goes down, you're pretty fukked. That's just the way the new nfl works, you don't have the money for quality depth at high cost positions.

Reese isn't getting fired - because the Giants don't fire GMs, they just don't. But he needs to add talent to this team. Free agents and draft. If the Giants somehow end up with a top 5 pick, and have a shot at one of the top QB's they should flip it for more picks. Eli isn't the problem. This team just needs more talent everywhere.

Why is it every time Eli has a bad game the "Eli is done he has to go" comes out the woodwork?

Did you forget the rest of his season? Before yesterday he was on pace for like 30 TDs/ 10 INTs and over 3,500 yds.

Get him an offensive line, find a running back who can stay upright for an entire season, and another WR to pair with ODB. I'd say that's Cruz but who knows what he'll be next season and we can't rely on him being the old Cruz right away. And going into next season with Randle as the other outside WR cannot happen.

Reese needs to go the fact that the team needs help at virtually everywhere and the guys who you know are givins going into next year you can count on one hand is pretty pathetic

Bob Papa was on with Lupica the other day and he made some pretty good points made. Talked about just how awful some of Reese's decisions seem in hindsight.

As a first-time play-caller, Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo either had to apologize roundly for his three-fade debacle during last Sunday's loss, or stubbornly defend it. There was no middle ground for a young coach trying to build his reputation.

After speaking to reporters Thursday for the first time since that series of play calls, he seems to have taken the stubborn route.

"I'm not going to stand here and apologize for the play-calling," McAdoo said, via the New York Daily News. "I have faith in the perimeter players to go up and make the plays one on one."

:mindblown:

There are many other options at your disposal, like running the ball! That seems okay. And play action! With multiple options for throwing the ball! Every time some idiot calls a fade route in the end zone, the announcer is like, "Well, it’s man coverage, so it’s a 50/50 shot!" No, it’s not. The Big Lead did a loose study on the fade route and estimated that only 25% of fade routes to the end zone are successful. It’s not 50/50, and it certainly isn’t 50/50 when Eli Manning has already thrown a zillion picks and you’re making the tight end climb the ladder for a ball that’s not even in the corner of the end zone. Any offensive coordinator who calls three fade routes in a row should be remanded to working a toll booth. Forever. No more fade routes.

Yea I dont understand why the fade route is so popular in the league. Unless you have a Calvin Johnson type receiver who makes that play most of the time, its pointless. Theres inevitably always another receiver that was open and would have been found if the QB just went through his progressions like normal.

With a shifty receiver like Beckham capable of getting open in tight spaces and a big TE like Donnell who can body a defender to get position, its irresponsible to run that bullshyt, especially 3 times in a row where the game is on the line.

Who we drafting, boys?

I think you gotta go OL early. Right away. And I think to do that, you have to figure out if you can keep Pugh at tackle or he if has to move to guard. He's had some big days against really good players. It makes me think he can do it. But if he can't, if he's going to be a guard, then you have to know, because you need to take a tackle with your first pick.

I've said it before, but if you Draft a future LT - then your'e line can look like: ROOKIE LT-Schwartz-Richburg-Pugh-Beatty ... and that looks pretty solid.

If you think he's a tackle, then you can draft a guard in the 2nd.

But solidifying the line fixes two things: It helps the running game, and it gives Eli time, which allows Beckham/Cruz (and maybe Donnell) to get loose on routes.

The Giants have a LOT of problems. And they're not ALL on offense:

If you think Pugh is still a tackle, then in the first round you can look at: A top pass-rusher (interior or DE), A top safety, or an impact linebacker (unlikely). The defense needs help, and fast.

Lastly, I'd love them to identify a punt/kick return specialist in the late rounds. A burner with shiftiness, who is maybe too small to be a regular contributor at the position (rb/wr)
