The NBA season is going to be so boring this year. We already know that the finals are going to be the Miami Heat versus either the Oklahoma City Thunder or Los Angeles Lakers. 99% of regular season games are going to be pointless.

And people think that is a good thing?

I personally think it might do some good If super teams stay winning the same teams will get the best lottery picks and if they do there homework they can build there on super teams through the draft like OKC and have their guys in their prime when the current guys are washed up. Heres a Louisianan hoping for a Davis/Shabazz/Wiggins trio in the future :manny: :ooh:

Those weren't super teams. I'm not talking about them, I'm talking about the lakers and celtics in the 80s.

Kobe + Shaq + (insert random 3rd option) + Phil = Super team, Winning 3 years in a row = Super team

Those teams were primarily built through the draft also.

primarily? some of the biggest contributors signed as Free Agents or were acquired through a trade. Shaq, Rick Fox, Robert Horry, Brian Shaw, Glen Rice, Mitch Richmond.

Kobe (yeah, even though he was officially drafted by another team, I will consider him a Laker draft pick) and D-Fish are draft picks. How were those teams primarily built through the draft?

bad comparison

80s had like 22 teams
60s had like 16 teams

if you have 3 all stars/hall of famers on a team in a league without that many teams, its understandable. if you've got 3/4 all stars on a team where the talent is very spread out because there's 30 teams, :wow:

80 champs lakers
81 champs celtics
82 champs lakers
83 champs sixers
84 champs celtics
85 champs lakers
86 champs celtics
87 champs lakers
88 champs lakers
89 champs pistons

Only teams to make the finals in the 80's were pistons, lakers, celtics, rockets and sixers

2 from the west 3 from the east.5 teams total out of 22 were capable of winning a title

Expansion teams dilute the league not make it harder to win

Mitch and Rice were the only 2 players I listed that weren't on all 3 championship teams. Actually, i think Harper was on only 2. But if they were role players then so was D-Fish. Tell me again how that those 3-peat teams were championship teams primarily because of draft picks. explain it to me please...
