I prefer this style of mario to 3d world and Galaxy games btw

The only other 3D mario was Sunshine and 64 and this better than both.

No it wasn't 2D but it wasn't a 3D Mario game in the vein of 64/Sunshine according to the devs themselves:

箱庭探索3D＝ Sandbox/Exploration 3D Mario

コースクリア型3D= Level based 3D Mario aka just go from A to B and next level.

Odyssey is more like Mario 64/Sunshine than Galaxy and 3D World/land.

Gave Bowser a preview of what's to come.

I'm getting so many BOTW vibes from this game it's Finding moons is just like finding Korok Seeds. Lake Kingdom reminds me of Zora's domain. Lost Kingdom reminds me of Eventide island. And The Sand Kingdom reminds me of Gerudo desert.

It's not a 3D sandbox/exploration mario(like SMG1/2).

some worlds u gotta use secret entraces to get moons u couldnt reach in other worlds these costumes too @ this snapback and when u enter the 2d worlds with it...some stages have super mario world music.

nikka I'm talking about 3D Mario games like this and @CrimsonTider knew what the fukk I was talking about since he he even said he prefer this type of Mario over 3D world/galaxy so clearly the context in which I was talking to him was already established but w/e man let's play dumb.
