Reviewing a kids film and acting as though it's made for 50 year old bloggers has always been weird to me

People always say stuff like this but there are plenty of kids movies that review well. Super Mario Bros the first game came out in 1985. More of Mario's fans are likely over the age of 30 than under. Studios like Pixar have done a masterful job at making movies that both kids and adults enjoy. Hiding what critics are finding to be a mediocre movie behind the fact that kids can be included in the target audience doesn't fly. Nobody shat on Finding Nemo, Zootopia, or Toy Story because they were for kids.

Right. Thats the annoying part for me

Puss N Boots is sitting at a 95 RT score, and its a 3rd iteration of a shrek spinoff. Mario being a kids movie if anything means it should be graded on a curve.

Dispicable Me, Dispicable Me 2, and Minons are all rated higher by the same studio. Much higher

I own a switch with every single mario game available, why would i do such a thing if i hate mario? Maybe the movie just isn’t as good as you thought it would be?
