who was saying no need for E3?

No one ever said that, mad titan talking to himself
he may be referring to whichever thread it was with the debate of E3 being pure garbage with no Sony. Not sure. Clearly don't agree, but whatever.
We don’t need E3. Apple and Nintendo and Sony to a lesser extent have shown y’all the way.
the 90s is over. Dont need a trade show to reach people anymore.

I like having a big time for gaming in the summer and one in the winter (the game awards) but now that all the conferences are digital it just doesn’t make sense that it has to be E3 specifically. There’s no more showroom floor and stages and whatever.
So the reason E3 is needed is because its truly a all eyes on event. We don’t need E3. Apple and Nintendo and Sony to a lesser extent have shown y’all the way.

These showcases (outside of nintendo) for Sony and microsoft people don't want, or don't care about most games if it isn't some Triple A game or some trailer for big up coming game.
On top of that is a chance for these dev's and publishers to show off there games in a "neutral" state instead one Nintendo, PS or Xbox and instantly have consumer bias, rumors or hate floating around.
E3 allows for a big celebration over multiple days from all companies for indies, A, AA, and triple A games. Everyone gets play time under a big umbrella if they choose to participate.
It also takes the stress off devs to know that really the only big even they need to nail is once a year at E3 instead of updating fans continually with digital events, and progression on games they are working on.
I still don't think E3 is needed anymore. I think companies are better off doing their own digital presentations when they have something of substance to show.who was saying no need for E3?
Now imagine having to do that at random sometime throughout the year instead of knowing a target date of late may-julyDevs have actually gone on record saying that E3 puts an insane amount of pressure on them and requires a lot of resources in order to create a trailer/vertical slice for the presentation

Nintendo has shown the way. Let the devs do their thing and when the time is right make presentations. Could be quarterly or semi-annually.Now imagine having to do that at random sometime throughout the year instead of knowing a target date of late may-july
The state of plays and Xbox events and Nintendo directs work well for the big wigs. They have there stuff, plus other devs under there umbrella.Nintendo has shown the way. Let the devs do their thing and when the time is right make presentations. Could be quarterly or semi-annually.
