The opening was ROUGH:dead:

Cold open intros for Deadshot and Harley....followed by another scene where they introduce the whole crew....including Deadshot and Harley again :dead:

:mindblown:

Yeah that had me in the theater actually scratching my head. all you needed to do was flip those scenes around :russ: little stuff like that is what separates a good movie from a great movie or sometimes a bad movie from a good movie

They could do the sequel where Waller sends the squad after Joker and Harley. Then they could have the split between Joker and Harley when she tries to stop him from killing The Squad (specifically Deadshot). They could even steal the Deadshot/Harley/Joker stuff from Attack on Arkham.

the ending did set something like that, so i can def see the next one following that story line....which could lead to harley eventually becoming an anti-hero type, which is cool...i just want deadshot to stay a villain...

HOUS-e-
Saw the movie yesterday and I thought it was good it wasn't blow me out of my seat good but it was good.. I don't know what merit that these critics are judging these new DCU movies but it should not judge it on the fact that TDK which came out 8 YEARS AGO this is a totally new different take on the DC Universe and its something i see lots of potential in i really don't think the movie should've got criticized that harsh for it.. I enjoyed Deadshot i enjoyed Joker I loved the tribute to different comic book pages and covers in different parts of scenes in the movie that was dope i marked out when i seen the "Joker and Harley"Alex Ross art piece in the movie that was DOPE..Idk how you brehs feel but I lowwwwwwkey liked the enchantress only for the fact she had dope ass villain voice for a witch but the movie was really good DCU got some potential just doesn't need to fall victim to studio edits other out of the park expectations that's being placed upon them.

What's wrong with $600 million?

The vast majority of comic films don't make 600 million and are seen as successful.

And suicide squad isn't some A list property.
please breh we've been getting trailers for a year straight. The marketing budget has to be massive

How is that any different than the majority of blockbusters?

For example pacific rim cost 190 million to make and grossed 411 million and is seen as a success.

Other than x men dofp all those flicks didn't set the box office on fire and have been a success.

EDIT: the first official trailer didn't release until Jan this year.

The comic con trailer was from last year and that was not anywhere but the internet

think another thing that sausage party is banking on: the stupidity of a lot of dumb parents...the same parents that took their kids to see deadpool cause it was a 'superhero' movie, yet ended up walking out after 5-10 mins, will be the same ones that take their kids to see this 'animated' movie....so what if they walk out after realizing it's not meant for kids, the movie has their money at that point....

BOX OFFICE: 40% Fri-Sat Drop For SUICIDE SQUAD

After grossing $65.1 million on Friday in North America ($20.5 million from previews on Thursday and $44.6 million on Friday), Suicide Squad suffered a massive 40% drop on Saturday, and may gross less than $40 million for the day. If that trend continues for another massive drop on Sunday, the overall weekend box office haul for the film could end up being in the $130 million range after early estimates ballooned to the $140-$150 million range.

Given the scathing reviews, it seemed likely that Suicide Squad was headed for a massive drop during the SECOND weekend of release, similar to what happened to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it appears that the negative reviews are actually affecting the opening weekend box office numbers.

Despite setting records with its $166 million domestic opening weekend back in March , Dawn of Justice also dropped 38% from Fri-Sat during that first weekend. Negative reviews and word of mouth caused the film to drop an unprecedented 68% in its second weekend of release. In comparison, earlier this year, Deadpool saw just a 10% drop going from Fri-Sat during its first weekend in North American theaters and Captain America: Civil War had a small percentage decrease as well, at only 18%. Fox's second comic book movie released this year, X-Men: Apocalypse, saw a 22% drop from Fri-Sat during its first weekend in domestic theaters.

Next weekend, Suicide Squad will face box office competition from Pete's Dragon and Sausage Party.

It was an alright movie, funny at parts

The fight scenes were kinda lame and the whole plot with the sorceress didn't really get me invested cause I knew they'd just save the day, there wasn't any suspense or even interest behind the whole *generic evil plot*. Movie woulda been way better with a better villain and a stronger plot

Harley was fantastic though, liked Deadshot and El Diablo too. Some nice acting

I just want to forget Jared Leto's joker forever and ever erase that shyt from my memory please. I feel like I need to go rewatch Heath Ledger in the dark knight 3 times for eye bleach

Here we go again with these unrealistic numbers to break even shyt from people that don't work for WB, aren't accounting and budget specialists, and pulling numbers out their own asses just to discredit a record breaking success of a film just to save face of their own criticisms of it. Why not just give a film props for the money it made, props for it due to its successful marketing campaign and just keep it moving?

They said the same thing with BvS as if almost making 900M is a bad thing and ignoring that tit's banking very well on DVD, Blu-ray and online streaming. All that "breaking even" talk is complete BULLshyt when nobody ever addresses REAL flops like X-Men: Apocalypse.
