The "Men in Black" Trilogy will be remember. It stars Will Smith and is produced by Steven Spielberg, they will be playing it on TV forever. The only reason "Django" will be remembered is cause it's QT and it had controversy and ended up winning a few Oscars. I do think Will needs to open up his choices more and take more risk, there I agree with you but Will again is held to a different standard. Look how you yourself are accent probably the ONLY flop in his career in the last 20 years outside of "Wild Wild West". Again you see people harping on Downey about that flop "The Judge" or Johnny when he bombed with "Lone Ranger" and that sci-fi flick. No. Cause they aren't Will. Will needs to knock it out the park and "Focus" with it's February release date ain't that movie. Will needs to go back to the summer where he Belongs.
Nah people have been on Johnny for a while because after Alice in wonderland he hasn't had a big big movie. And that was back in 2010. The next pirates did well but it wasn't recorved well breh because of where it made its money. In this country I don't hear a soul talking about how much they loved the last pirates movie. Or the tourist. Or the rum diary. So he's had some flops before the Lone Ranger. People talk about it trust me.
And no one talks about Robert yet cause we all know he will go back to the marvel well or Sherlock holmes well or something else and continue to make his money. In fact I think people want to see the highest paid actor take more risks so if anything the judge existing just shows that he's willing to step outside of his comfort zone. Men in black as a trilogy will not be remembered fondly breh. The first one will but the second is trash and the third is meh.
People don't care how much a movie makes they remember quality. Case in point? Die another day at the time in 2002 was the most successful Bond movie to date. Had an Oscar winner too. But it's remembered as a joke. The movie that showed the franchise had lost its way and the movie that was so bad it caused the studio to reboot with casino royale. Studios have ears to the street too man and they know how movies can be front loaded and they know what the real reception of it is beyond dollars. The first men in black is a classic. The second and third aren't anywhere as good. That's how it'll be remembered.
