The "Men in Black" Trilogy will be remember. It stars Will Smith and is produced by Steven Spielberg, they will be playing it on TV forever. The only reason "Django" will be remembered is cause it's QT and it had controversy and ended up winning a few Oscars. I do think Will needs to open up his choices more and take more risk, there I agree with you but Will again is held to a different standard. Look how you yourself are accent probably the ONLY flop in his career in the last 20 years outside of "Wild Wild West". Again you see people harping on Downey about that flop "The Judge" or Johnny when he bombed with "Lone Ranger" and that sci-fi flick. No. Cause they aren't Will. Will needs to knock it out the park and "Focus" with it's February release date ain't that movie. Will needs to go back to the summer where he Belongs.

Nah people have been on Johnny for a while because after Alice in wonderland he hasn't had a big big movie. And that was back in 2010. The next pirates did well but it wasn't recorved well breh because of where it made its money. In this country I don't hear a soul talking about how much they loved the last pirates movie. Or the tourist. Or the rum diary. So he's had some flops before the Lone Ranger. People talk about it trust me.

And no one talks about Robert yet cause we all know he will go back to the marvel well or Sherlock holmes well or something else and continue to make his money. In fact I think people want to see the highest paid actor take more risks so if anything the judge existing just shows that he's willing to step outside of his comfort zone. Men in black as a trilogy will not be remembered fondly breh. The first one will but the second is trash and the third is meh.

People don't care how much a movie makes they remember quality. Case in point? Die another day at the time in 2002 was the most successful Bond movie to date. Had an Oscar winner too. But it's remembered as a joke. The movie that showed the franchise had lost its way and the movie that was so bad it caused the studio to reboot with casino royale. Studios have ears to the street too man and they know how movies can be front loaded and they know what the real reception of it is beyond dollars. The first men in black is a classic. The second and third aren't anywhere as good. That's how it'll be remembered.

Will Smith could've been Neo in The Matrix, Cobb in Inception and Django. His box office legacy would be untouchable if he took those roles...:mjcry:
Will in The Matrix wouldn't have done anything for his career. He owned the 90s Summer box office, after Independence day. Everyone was on his dikk. Neo wasnt need to be an apathetic nobody, Will couldn't sell that. He also saw Django for what it was :pacspit:

People said that about "The Back To the Future" Trilogy in the early 90's then "The Jurassic Park" Trilogy then "The Matrix Trilogy". But time and time again it proves. If you have a CLASSIC 1st film, the rest of trilogy gets that Classic stamp too.

we're going to have to disagree there. Whenever I see or hear someone talk about the matrix trilogy it's always with a caveat.whenever I hear someone talk about Jurassic park it's always just Jurassic park not the last two although I love lost world I'm kinda alone on that one. And with back to the future every generation feels differently about it. I know people older than me who feel like the first and third are the only reall good ones with the 2nd being ok but not nearly as good as the first. I know people my age who feel like only the first two are good. The only consensus is that the first is a classic. If men in black 2 were even a little good or mildly entertaining it would get some love but it doesn't so you can't compare that trilogy to back to the future. The matrix is probably more apt

Maybe we role in different circles breh but I can't attest to anyone ever calling the JP trilogy classic or the matrix. It's always an asterix by both in my experiences

Truthfully i think alot of this will be canceled or stuck in development hell. They are to reactionary and laying there cards all on the table to fukkin soon.

Not to bring up the M word, but Marvel is playing chess and seem to be moving at there own pace.

DC seems to have bad judgement and no real faith in there properties/mythology. Just looks shaky every time they announce something.

"Green Lantern" said alot about what WB thinks of comics.

Hopefully i'm wrong, but I just dont see the end game in announcing movies 5-6 years in advance. Marvel tells you what they want you to know and you go in to each film trying to figure out what it will lead to in the bigger Universe.

These nikkas just slapping shyt together.

releasing movie dates mean they have confidence in B vs.S and with most of the characters being introduced in the movie it's possible they may all get released

Tbh this is their only option to catch up to Marvel in the Superhero race. If they went the Marvel way, we would be waiting until 2019/20 for the 1st JL team up while Marvel would be on Phase 4 or 5 already

thats my point, it shouldnt be about "catching up" they should just be trying to go there pace and put out the best product possible. They just seem to be throwing shyt on the wall, before they really have a vibe or anything for the flicks. MoS didn't really feel like DC's world to me.

DC IMO is witty, fantastical and prolly the least grounded in reality of all comic universes. That shyt was just brooding and bleh... I just wish that shyt could be similar to the Cartoons... seems that there trying to make it just like Marvel and that aint it. We'll see tho. Im rooting for them. But they just seem to not take comics all that serious outside of the big 2.

Casting the gay dude for Flash seemed gimmicky to me. Mushing out all these dates, when they are not as established as Marvel at making these pieces fit. Just do dope shyt... that's all we want.

IMO i think of DC and Marvel movies like this….

DCU = Realism/Dark/Brooding
MCU = Funny/Light hearted

:manny:

They both bother me. Example being in TGOTG at the end with the villain, I won't spoil it but it was dumb as fukk. I was like am i watching a little kids movie :wtf: then in MOS these nikkas are serious 24/7, i swear the only joke in the movie was Lois and that kiss line at the end. Superman seemed mad as fukk through the whole movie though. I think BB nailed it though with it being dark but still had it's humor at times, TDK and CA: WS too
