A couple years back I hung with my aunt at a daughers of Isis event where the Police chief of Portsmouth VA said hello to her * I guess she's a DOI* It wasn't a convention but it was a regional gathering and it was Daughters of Isis and Shriners at the event. Most were married.

Yes these were Uncs and aunties aplenty and to be a member yo have to be a Prince Hall Mason or Eastern Star of a certain rank so you could qualify to be a Shriner or Daughter of Isis and there were hundreds of people at Mid atlantic meeting and those are the people who could make it.

My point is there's far more Black People who love themselves and their culture that social media tells you.

This was a total Black American thing I never heard of a non Black american Shriner or Daughter of Isis.

I guess the difference is If i was convinced that this show represented Black female thought in totality I would be SYSBM and or a Passport bro.
