exactly every role where the guy is superior he is white, the doctor , the lawyer the hero, and when you see blacks its always some c00nshytThe individualists in this thread talking about what shows THEY watch are kind of missing the point.
The point is, television and the media generally depicts blacks as inferior to whites. If thats the kind of content produced empirically, thats gonna be the kind of content viewed empirically. So the self esteem of blacks are empirically effected.
Im happy you're different but if you want other blacks to be as great as you, the images have to generally change because while certain individuals can and will have certain traits, the traits of groups however are influenced by environment, which media is a part of.
Hope I did a decent job explaining this to you guys.
And your happy being the racist white mans bytch. So it's only two black shows on television right now. LOL, holy fukk. Straight black men stopped being shown in a good light. HAHA, Gay agenda lol. ONE character is gay and this nikka screaming out GAY AGENDA.
No wonder yall are mad often.
Yall are some miserable fukks.
alot of mexicans can pass for white nd apart from asians having their own TV shows asians have fair skin and straight hair ...blacks have dark skin full features and nappy hair there is zero relation to most of these charactersIf these studies are true, I can't even imagine the self esteem of a Mexican boy or an Asian boy
Get all the way the fukk out of here with that. Idk if youve ever met Asians or Mexicans, but they don't associate themselves with white people at allalot of mexicans can pass for white nd apart from asians having their own TV shows asians have fair skin and straight hair ...blacks have dark skin full features and nappy hair there is zero relation to most of these characters
1) Morpheus is not the hero in The Matrix.
2) Even assuming all of your examples meet the criteria, and they don't, ask yourself, "do we represent approximately 13 percent (black people in US) of heros?" If the answer is no, and it is, why is that? What percent of criminals do we represent in TV vs real life? If there is a significant disparity, then why is that.?
I'm not trying to make anyone feel guilty for watching trash TV (I watch my fair share), I'm simply stating that these questions should be explored. Don't even get me started on the portrayal of black women in the media.
There are very few examples bro. This dude just wants something to be upset about1. Fam Morpheus is one the heroes in a big budget film. He is a hero in the Matrix film, STOP IT
2. Where are all these shows and films in which we are criminals on TV. Yall keep saying it, but that doesn't make it true. Show me all of the Black villains in movies, while yall are at it as well.
Show me these shows and films, so I could understand your point.
3. Yes we represent 13% of heroes, now show me we are 30% of all villains in cinema. Because if we are portrayed in such numbers like you keep saying, you would have a shyt load of examples.
Are you serious.
read this articleGet all the way the fukk out of here with that. Idk if youve ever met Asians or Mexicans, but they don't associate themselves with white people at all
The main protagonist in all these movies are white and the black guy either plays the part of the side kick or the wise father figure, which is a black male trope.
I suppose next you're gonna post pictures of black women playing caring mammy roles and say that's a positive potrayal of black people?
Teens still watch tv? Everyone is on the internet now. Socialmedia is the real esteem killer
And your happy being the racist white mans bytch.
Your not a man your still a boy.
I think bullshyt studies like this make it easy for certain nikkas to come up with excuses for who they are....But other than that this just sounds like a c00n problem....nikkas are the most cocky people I know, sometimes proud about shyt that we probably shouldn't be that proud about
I know we got black people who put pressure on themselves to do and see things the way white folks do. But if you are ashamed of yourself based off whats on tv you probably don't really know your people that well...Plus you might be a c00n
People love coming up with these psychoanalysis of peoples behavior, all it does is give people a list of things they can blame for they behavior when truth is most people don't know why they are how they are,or why they do what they do....if you cant explain yourself why wouldn't you blame one of the many excuses given to you on a platter "I think its the rap music".
Theres usually a large number of reasons for somebodys behavior, when somebody tries to pinpoint one thing it usually means they have an agenda....Studies like this are typically just distractions and a decoy that steers away from the many larger issues at hand imo.
