The game is flames and raised the bar. Period. For any game. Larian dropped a quality game on day one and it’s obvious why developers at other studios are saying something. I’m not saying developers don’t give a fukk about their craft, but BG3 feels like Larian gave a fukk about providing a solid experience you can escape in, and making people happy. Until some behind the scenes tea is spilled, it feels like those developers had a good time making this.

He could just play BG3 on "explorer" mode though. I might do that if I find the combat too annoying on "balanced" mode. I typically don't like turn-based combat either

Precisely what I did and I'm really enjoying it. Still, knowing it's turn based will scare some off. It almost got me. I don't blame them. Explorer definitely makes it tolerable, though.
