You're not paying attention sir.

Why Republicans are dragging their feet on more stimulus

There are quite a few Republicans who would love to get a deal done, their futures depend on it.
The reality is, there's enough support in the senate to pass the compromise bill.

The problem is it'll have all dems and a small amount of Republican supporting it and as a result McConnell won't bring it up for a vote. :yeshrug:
let me fall back because at the end of the day im not arguing against you guys :dead: you're the ones who are on the right side of this. i am too, just at a different degree

i just...wish the dems had approached this with a bill that wasnt so easy for the repubs to hit with the :camby: in front of the entire country

their talking line was "pelosi threw a socialist 3 trillion dollar bill at us, we had to turn it down" and people apparently said OK :yeshrug:

whereas a much smaller, clearer, direct bill that the repubs actually felt they had to defend not passing would have put the dems in a better spot.

So after the President has told everyone that he was going to fix this and no one sees any checks or relief, I don't think blaming the Democrats is going to work in their favor.
nope :yeshrug: huge pressure on trump to get his executive orders moving, and obviously he won't. he could take a massive L here

should be a rough 3 weeks though

why couldnt you pay your 2000 dollar mortgage for 3 months if the CARES act was paying a couple like 7 or 8 thousand dollars? :dahell:

im fine with shoring up the foundation, we obviously need to do that. you know what's not doing that? going up against a brick wall in the republicans with a ridiculous 3 trillion dollar bill, of which not one cent is actually paid for :dahell:

im sorry the democrats' "winning strategy" is eluding me here :dahell: why are they not laying out 6 or 7 areas that get money directly to the american people and putting the ball in the republicans' court in front of the entire country?
how the hell did you jump to 7-8000? and given 32% of households missed july mortgage payments, it's clear cash in hand isn't the only thing needed

most people with a mortgage are a couple :yeshrug: and if not, you shoulda got 3500-4 grand a month yourself. everyone i know did

but it looks like that's all over for now, so why argue about it? that 400 a week plus state benefits sounds better than just state benefits right about now

blaming the republicans is nice, but a compromise would have been better than nothing. tough shyt i guess
