Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Completely disagree.
Stillmatic was better to me at the time. But I've listened to both within the past 1-2 years and Stillmatic completely floored me, BP didn't.
:yeshrug:

On a one-off listen, maybe

But BP has more replay value. I revisit songs on that album at times because of a great beat or I think of some of the great lines on there.

The music on Stillmatic doesn't ever make me want to revisit the album. Occasionally I'll think of some.bomb ass rhymes and listen to a song off the album for that reason.

Tldr: musically BP is better

Lyrically - Blueprint
Sonically - Blueprint

Plus nikkaz got duped by Rewind, Nas spitting a few lines backwards got goofies sayin he spit a story in reverse :russ:

nikka said "go he there" and spit everything else forward 🤣

Plus Jungle wrote "One Mic"
Not to mention Nas got the "blood of a slave heart of a king" line backwards. He should read more books :francis:

Blueprint is dope all the way through minus like one song. Lyrically Nas can't do a "Lyrical Exercise" and can't do a "Heart of the City"

This is really a lopsided comparison. If we wanted a more even debate it shoulda been BPIII vs LIG

agree with most of what you said except the consistent part...if you take out Braveheart Party which the later pressings did I don't think there are any wack tracks on it..."Rule" is probably the weakest link

Blueprint is a better overall album than Stillmatic, but I like Stillmatic more. I don't know if that makes sense to any of you. The first half of Stillmatic was flawless, only in the 2nd half of it did it contain a few songs that should have been left off. Then there are songs like "everybody's crazy" that were left off the Amerikkkan release(it is on my European version, along with "no idea's original". Every ghetto, Rule, and my country should have been left off. Then we truly got a flawless album. Even Jay's album had one song that most people don't like. That was "hola hovito", but I think that was cool. I don't think the Nas songs are wack, but they just don't fit on Stillmatic. Both albums are great from Jay and Nas. And most people hate "braveheart party". It was definitely out of place.
