Destroy & Rebuild - 5 percenter undertones

Ur Da Man - occult undertones

Second Childhood - he could replace the "break his moms furniture, watching Comicview" with Wild'n Out :mjlol: ...song is still relatable today, esp with ole'heads & old thots that refuse to grow up

What Goes Around - Taps into colorism, the irony of thanksgiving, abortion, perms, silicon, white girls basically cosplaying blk women

Blueprint is surface level bars...Nas makes you really reflect and listen

Both albums perfectly capture the late 2001/early 2002 vibes...but I find myself replaying Stillmatic exponentially more

Neck ties and boxing gloves.
Stillmatic.

I could have done without Hola Hovito, Jigga That nikka, and more than likely All I Need.

Very glad that Braveheart Party was taken off Stillmatic. I'm glad Nas left Jungle to soul clapping instead of rapping.

To me, Blueprint was more about the production and thus its mood. Its a smooth ride through and through for sure.

There was more of a lyrical focus to Stillmatic and more intetesting subject matter. And thats more of why I listen to Hip Hip.

Stillmatic was my answer in 2001 and it still is. Stillmatic convinces me that Nas was GOAT. Blueprint is a classic and may have solidified Jay Z's standing in Hip Hop, but Nas was genius on Stillmatic conceptually and lyrically. Nothing on Blueprint hit on the level of the songs below:

Stillmatic Intro
You're Da Man
Rewind
One Mic
2nd Childhood
What Goes Around
Every Ghetto

The same people who will overlook blueprint bc it leans on great production and fly talk, are the same folk dikkriding Nas’ hit boy run which is barely any traditional Nas type tracks and is 90% beats and fly talk :beli:

Love both albums and rappers but this site has a very weird pro Nas, anti jay z bias
