What do you mean specific policy??

If he's on the school board he will make sure kids are taught financial literacy. That's a part of his goal.

Funny...right now he's on FB shytting on the NY protests against Trump.

We always fight a plan with a dumb ass protest.

:heh:

Plenty of folks like him that need your or Kaep support.

Baltimore elected 8 new members to their city council yesterday, all between the ages of 28 to 43. We are out there but folks like you who decry that those out there trying to enact policies trying to help people are for naught. :dahell:

I don't get it.

You're so stuck on "policy" while failing to see that grassroots activism is intertwined with it.

Yes....you are pretending. The very fact you don't know off hand about public policies or people involved to making change, asking me to be your personal google, shows you really don't give two shyts.

Be real here. This is too important to be on some bullshyt ego shyt. If its not your lane, say it isn't.

I keep asking you to name specific policies that are positively effecting back people. And you still can't name them. All you're doing now is projecting and assuming :what:

Now you're delving into silly nonsense about ego :what:

You're all over the place

Why are you asking?

Dog....I thought you knew since you're quick to put something over it.

Nope....I'm not adding jack to help you, a dude who claims "grassroots > public policy while not knowing shyt about the latter.

It's phony as all hell.

And voting for Hilary (and be real--ppl would be just as mad if he voted for Trump or 3rd party) isn't gonna change that
I didn't say anything about who prospectively breh would vote for....that's his opine. I just don't get the not voting thing, but it is what it is.

Yall keep glossing over the bigger picture. There are more things to vote for than presidency. You cant write Harambe on a yes or no measure/prop
No, I get it, the down ballot narrative has been talked about. Someone even posted the items that were on the ballot in SF. The police policy one probably passed because of the stance he took. So his actions probably resulted in 1000's of more yes votes than what would've happened had he not protested. I'm just sick of people trying to tell me or anyone else that we HAVE to do something; completely ignoring the fact that we all have a choice to do or not to do. That's the little piece of freedom that we enjoy.

What y'all don't understand is some ppl don't believe in voting. They don't believe in this country. And you Have to respect that.

My father never voted in his life until I dragged him to go vote for Obama in 2012.

My mom votesvotes every time. I've voted every time I've been old enough, except this time.

People have their rights and who are you to sh*t on them for not voting Or being interested in politics?

I get what you're saying, but it's not going to be the same for everybody who didn't vote. If we're talking about state level and county level laws, then things are going to be different for everyone here who didn't vote because we all live in different parts of the country. I didn't vote, and the only down ballot initiative that affected me was a bond issue that meant rebuilding schools in our district. I didn't vote for it because I live right across the street from a middle school and it's a bytch trying to turn onto the street because of the traffic. Now they want to rebuild the school which could mean even more fukked up traffic. It passed overwhelmingly so I'm fukked anyway in the next few months.

Once an initiative to legalize weed where I live gets on a ballot, I'll be the first one there.

Here's the thing tho, breh. You can't have an interest in social justice and not have an interest in politics. Politicians enact policies.
But it's the community that brings the problems and request for change to the politician. If said politician only cares about kickbacks and what they can get out of a situation, then they aren't serving the community at all.

Honestly, I think we need to get into the business of paying off politicians like all other groups do.

Exactly, that's how it has been done. Since the Black church is considered the "collective Black voice'' they all need to sit down and come to a consensus as well as start pooling resources and then back their own hand picked candidate or approach the politician that is willing to address the concerns of the Black community.
