Kaep presumably lives in Cali right, which means he did not show up to vote on Prop 66, a criminal justice issue that directly impacts blacks and Hispanics
California Proposition 66 (2016) - Wikipedia

It passed by the way...by barely 2%.

Makes Cali's justice system look more like Texas. This is why I have ZERO respect for anyone who doesn't vote, especially if you're black. There is always something on the ballot that directly impacts you, your community, your fellow citizens, etc. If he said he wrote in MLK but voted on all proposals and petitions I'd have no problem with this. I'd disagree but hey, it is what it is. Instead he took the dumbest route and I lost some respect for him.

What the hell is he trying to do? You provoke change by VOTING. It's a horrible day in hell when I have to side with Screamin' Stephen. Dude's a joke. He could've voted for Beyonce, for all I gave a fukk. But to not even go!?!?

Did it make a difference???!!! :dahell: Tons of black people voted for clinton and SHE STILL LOST!!!! :mindblown: I didnt vote either they was both horrible candidates and the only person I wanted to be there the DNC fukked him over every chance they got by putting their eggs with hillary. The DNC fix was in from the Jump Bernie was talking about reform and changing things and they sabotaged him every fukking day he was there, they called him TOO radical but millions of people was ready to vote for him.

Would you mind naming some successful policies that have been enacted that benefited black people?

Usually black politicians are placed in token positions with no real power.
It's amazing to me how someone who declares "Grassroots movements > Public Policy is now asking me bout successful policies which he obviously knows nothing about.

Isn't that off?

I know of two people personally, one name Ryan Mack who developed a grassroots movement around financial literacy all over the country, teaching kids, speaking in prisons as recently as a month ago.. He left Brooklyn to go back home to detroit and lost his bid last night at a local school board because folks like who pretend to get it obviously dont know that grassroots movements eventually take steps to either come up with policies or get people in and out of office. You think it isn't beneficial to vote HIM onto a school board????

It's people like you he needed but youre too busy pretending to know things about government you obviously don't give a fukk about. You're really going to go back and forth about this.

It's too late in the day to front. We are in too much dire straits to entertain this back and forth when you know in your heart of hearts this isnt an avenue that you took any real interest in but are vested in admonishing. :childplease:

We're just having a simple and civilized dialogue my brotha. I agree that policy would ideally be more effective. But policy is extremely difficult to implement when it comes to getting black issues addressed and ultimately solved.

What specific policy did your colleague/friend successfully implement? I would love to hear more as well as the other policy you failed to specify.

And you're extremely off base with your assumption that "Im too busy pretending to know things about government you obviously don't give a fukk about" You couldn't be more incorrect. You made a huge error in your assessment.

Voting is NOT the only way you can provoke change, why is that concept lost on all of you simple minded ass people. Maybe he thinks voting in itself is flawed way of doing it. Y'all act like there is nothing he can do to better get his point across. Him kneeling for the national anthem has gotten more attention than anything else. the man made his point and when you say you aren't supporting the system then you can't participate in that same system.

You respect the 20,000 people who wrote in "Hennessy" or "Harambe" over Kaep? Yeah that makes sense :ehh:

What do you mean specific policy??

If he's on the school board he will make sure kids are taught financial literacy. That's a part of his goal.

Funny...right now he's on FB shytting on the NY protests against Trump.

Ryan Mack shared 3TV Phoenix's live video

feeling annoyed.

We always fight a plan with a dumb ass protest.

:heh:

Plenty of folks like him that need your or Kaep support.

Baltimore elected 8 new members to their city council yesterday, all between the ages of 28 to 43. We are out there but folks like you who decry that those out there trying to enact policies trying to help people are for naught. :dahell:

I don't get it.

You're so stuck on "policy" while failing to see that grassroots activism is intertwined with it.

Yes....you are pretending. The very fact you don't know off hand about public policies or people involved to making change, asking me to be your personal google, shows you really don't give two shyts.

Be real here. This is too important to be on some bullshyt ego shyt. If its not your lane, say it isn't.

It sounds completely disingenuous for people to say "just right in Snoopy or Charlie Brown, it doesn't matter as long as you vote." I'd rather people say he should've voted for Clinton than to give the false narrative of writing in any name and that having absolutely zero effect.

Yall keep glossing over the bigger picture. There are more things to vote for than presidency. You cant write Harambe on a yes or no measure/prop
