Democracy is not self correcting and it doesn't seek the truth. All it looks to do is represent the majority of people. If you are feeling oppressed, voting doesn't give you a voice, it confirms your belief that you are in the minority and aren't cared about.

Voting is important because when you are in the majority, you want the polls to reflect that but trashing a guy for not voting just misses the point. Until there is an ideological change in the way people think in this country, elections will have the same results. What Colin is doing is a lot more powerful than a single ballot but the racist whites have also made their own voice heard and proclaimed that they're tired of minorities thinking that they matter.

Even with the local measures, the actual ballot doesn't really provide much description and most people are voting blindly.

I'm confused why y'all try to spin it this way. Some of y'all are always looking for the black folks hand out. Life ain't ever worked that way where some magical politician is gonna give us our 40 acres and a mule, but we can find some that will make some of this bullshyt less hard. The reason you vote for Hilary in this case is to stop us from getting fukked even harder. We stay getting passively fukked, but Trump and his people are going to actively seek us out and make sure they catch anyone they missed. They're whole shyt was saying to poor white folks that it's "those" people's fault y'all lives suck and as he makes it shyttier for them he's gonna keep pointing in our direction as to why it's going wrong for them.



What does coming up with fake statutes that were never possible have to do with not voting? I've met a few KKK folks and they ain't come at me sideways face to face and that's all that matters. Being in the KKK ain't the reason cops shooting black folks, it's because they're cool with hiring cowards that shouldn't be cops in the first place. Loretta Lynch being Attorney General would be able to punish the ones that she could or at least make them 2nd guess doing something fukked up because of the backlash. Once Guiliani is in place they don't have to 2nd guess shyt. They'll be able to be as fukked as they wanna be......don't act gimme no bullshyt like it's been terrible for us now. Go ask your grandparents how cops treated them back when they were fukking growing up. It is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better now than it was in the 60's.

"The problem I have with them is they're the types that will need 20 years to pass in order to talk about the events of 11/8/16 so they can sound "deep" because they delved into the archives of our memories.

It had EVERYTHING to do with what you said. Blacks have stayed trying to build up themselves in America. They have been stopped each time by outside forces. The last time in the 60's/70s we saw their leaders killed/jailed/forced into exile.

The splintered state of the community can and SHOULD be directly tied to the treatment they have historically received. Every time they linked up to build and made REAL progress that threatened the establishment, they were stopped and forced to start over. So why ask "why are we like this?" when this is exactly what the adversary planned for yall to be like is all I'm saying

So basically, it's important to vote locally, to vote impartial reps (or reps that would likely lean towards the one you want to win), then go vote in the general election. Was this knowledge widely disseminated throughout the cities, counties and states, or was this somewhat lowkey?

In the United States this stuff is taught before you enter high school.
