If anyone actually takes this as a shot at the city, or New York fans for that matter you're a fukking moron.
And lol @ Steph Curry would be vilified in NY...
Nobody is talking about him bashing NY and the fans, he doesnt need to the statement speaks for itself, and on my end I just highlighted the noticeable difference between the way another metropolitan city treats its star player, and the way we treat ours.
His statement feeds into the common sense argument that I made in my original thread about NY fans, and the shtty way in which we treat our star players, especially black players: that treatment has an equal and opposite reaction. Players recognize this, and as such many are appalled and refuse to play here. They are human beings after all, not robots.
Even if you win four championships and establish yourself as a hall of fame player, you can still get booed over a mini slump in April, see: Derek Jeter. You dont think NBA players took note of Knick fans disrespecting a multi-time all star, and olympian, by wanting him bounced out for a player that had 2 weeks of good basketball? Who would want to play for such disrespectful, immature, half-retarded fans like that? Thats the point.
