Based on your posts here, I'm pretty sure that I'm far better versed in those topics than you are.
You're flaunting your ignorance here but the funniest part is how oblivious you seem to be :bryan:

1st Round Playoff Exits
Not going lie the hardest problem African-Americans face especially males is just being on the college campus, And passing general education classes...

Math and science are another monster, not necessarily because they're impossible to pass but because the amount of work ethic required succeed. It's easier for Chang Lee,(fictional character )to pass physics 2 when his dad was is an electrical engineer and his older sister who's currently in graduate school for biomedical engineering, to turn to for extra help....

If my calculus teacher didn't fail me I would've been up there with those dudes
Failure happens, it's how you deal with it, that builds character. Just make sure you take it again, when you're a little. more focused, look over past exams for errors, switch professors, find a tutor or form a study group with some people who are serious about passing. There's a few math majors on here as well I'm sure you can pm.

college degrees arent the same, overall people with STEM college degrees make more money and have less unemployment than other college degrees
I was responding to someone saying "Trade school workers are just technicians. Anyone can do that shyt."

Thats really untrue.
And its part of the reason why so many people blindly go to college.
People view working in a office as making it...where you could work w/ your hands and make $120K after a few years doing something "anyone can do".
A viable skill is what you need...and a lot of the trades are just that...A viable skill that is needed in the marketplace.

oh ok, thats fine, im all for trade schools, the more options people have the better

but trade schools and STEM degrees are 2 different planets, trade schools have little to do with the conversation of how to increase black STEM phds

a STEM major who can make their own compounds and ingredients?

A STEM major who can make their own programs and algorithms?

a STEM major who can make their own charts and macros?

a STEM major who can derive niche businesses from unique work experiences only availabile through jobs that select for elite skills?

...as opposed to...?

none of those fields (if majored in) provide the degree of financial and ultimately mechanical (by way of creating tangible assets) autonomy that STEM does.

The problem is that suggesting trade school when we're talking about PhD's int he sciences is:

1. a deflection. We're talking about X, not Y. Stop trying to change to Y.

2. trade school students ON AVERAGE do not make more than their well educated counterparts. Sure, a few will strike it hot with a few franchises maybe and may corner a niche market...but its largely dependent on one's entrepreneurship and ultimately the better educated person is more likely to have this success.

3. Theres nothing wrong with trade schools, but taking the EASY way out in lieu of fostering the innate curiosity and sense of pride from representing groundbreaking fields and being at the forefront of your industry can not be replaced without a PhD. Trade schools are like nursing for people interested in medicine. Do you want money, or do you want to change the world?

The problem is that failing classes cost too much money. Tuition is hyper inflated as it is. Failing a class shouldn't determine if you have enough money to live, or kwwp you in debt for another 2 years.
This is such a bullshyt excuse bro.

1. Don't go to an expensive school
2. DOn't fukking fail

Its really that simple.

The world is going to keep spinning with or without you, don't fall off.

as I said before: Trade schools compared to PhD's are like nursing compared to medicine

Do you want to have a job, or do you want to change the world?

Easier said than done. Last time I checked, we are still human beings. We ain't cyborgs that can just do STEM for the sake of money. Education in this country is based off of tests, where it is too much pressure involved. Test alone shouldn't be the main source of telling who is or isn't efficient.

School shouldn't be expensive in the first place. To give in to these outrageous demand is killing innovation of any kind.
