A lot of rumors and sources. I see only quote in that article:
"Most people in TV sports programming stay away from trying to counter program college football, the NFL, MLB playoffs and the start of the NBA season in October and November," PBC spokesman Tim Smith said. "PBC is a TV boxing series, and as such, it's mindful of the sports programming around it, and it wants to maximize potential viewership among sports fans."
And that quote sounds exactly like this, from the Spike TV President in February this year:
"We're working on the 2016 schedule now. We had some blips going head to head with college football, so the discussion is figuring out what to steer clear of," Kay said. "We're bringing the younger MMA audience to boxing. We want to make sure we have the best opportunity to succeed."
I've been hearing of PBC's demise since it started. Seriously. With that in mind, and based on these quotes months apart, I'm gonna hold off on throwing dirt into the grave until I'm sure there's a body in it.
