If Game Pass did everything it was supposed to do then why do you and your peeps constantly joke about it having mid games? Game Pass specials I believe you called them.

Because xbox isn’t Nintendo or SIE and don’t produce games on that level. That was understood the moment they decided they needed to start the service in the first place.

Gamepass was formed from their inability to sell games. This was an alternative to that, it was a bandaid, a long with all the acquisitions. There was never a real plan for it

And yet nintendo online And ps plus have far more subscribers than gamepass, go figure.

Again, stop applying your weird world logic to the masses
Stop lying both are required for online multiplayer on those platforms. That's the main reason people sub to both.

You argue that such a service could never work because people don't play games like that. Then you openly admit that there was a content issue on Microsoft's end and they didn't have desirable content.

Which is it? Subscriptions fail because gamers don't want them or Game Pass content is mediocre. Meanwhile Sony openly admits in a roundabout way people prefer subscription services by saying they can't bring their games to them day 1 because people would choose that route over paying $70 for them at rates damaging to them.

So no it's not that people aren't interested in a service with content they'd actually want it's that the companies that make the content wouldn't create such a product.
If that were true a 3rd of ps plus users wouldn’t be subscribed to higher tiers

I can math. about 14 million subs on the higher tiers (which what even is your argument there? They're in it just for the games maybe?) is less than Game Pass total subs. Microsoft when they last gave numbers weren't lumping in Xbox Live Gold subs with Game Pass subs.

Sony and Nintendo don't have pure subscription services that don't also blend totally into their online multiplayer strategy. Microsoft had a Game sub service and an online multiplayer subscription totally separate. So again with the lies.

Both.

Not even sony or nintendo could get 50m+ subs putting their games on a service day one, which is why they wouldn’t. The ceiling for subscription gaming is too low for how much games cost

fukk that, I love the console war, just like the Chevy vs Ford vs Mopar war. Just like sports. Just like Apple vs. Android. People say its weird, but I like the competition, fukkery, and shyt talk.

If there was no war shyt would be boring
To each his own. The banter is funny but I never saw the point of being a shill for companies. Some of you stans take this shyt way too serious. :mjlol:

But yeah Xbox is now paying for their lack of killer apps. Their whole last gen hurt their brand irreparably, they couldn’t come up with one good exclusive. Gamers were fed on PS4 and the high numbers of PS5 sold reflect that, Sony earned that trust.

Gamepass if anything is what allowed them to survive for so long.

It can't be both because they're mutually exclusive. Either people don't want it and it would never work or it could work given the content. Just a few post ago you showed Sony has like 47 or so million people on a service you obscured the fact about the online multiplayer so you could say it carried more subs than Game Pass as a subscription service. Suddenly Sony couldn't get 50 million subs? Which is it? Having 47 if they put new games on a sub service they couldn't get to 50 or they have more subs than Game Pass?

The game development cost argument is a fallacy. They can make games specifically designed for a subscription services that are new products and budgeted accordingly. They are the ones that decided to make these overly expensive games. We see people on mobile phones play cheap games that look like crap and love it. Don't get to say you can't have any milk we're all out and the reason we're out is because you knocked the gallon jug over and spilled it on the floor.

I mean if they want to make some real money, then yeah. Let’s face it, game pass subscribers are cheap fukks. And they should be. That’s what was sold to them. That unfortunately doesn’t jive well when you have games costing hundreds of millions of dollars to develop. These shareholders are going to want to see a return on investment. Especially ever since when Bill Gates first spoke of Xbox, the goal was to take over shyt. Well, none of that shyt has come to pass. Something has to give. And they obviously can’t rely on PC either. They’ve come to realize, what all these developers and studios who made exclusivity deals with Sony realized. They need Sony:russ:
