I dont know the star wars community has complained a out every movie that has come out since phantom menace. I see why George sold it.

Since Return of the Jedi. People hated the Ewoks, said Harrison Ford was phoning it in (and got fat) and Luke/Leia-sibling thing.

I was born in '86 but I remember that shyt from the SW discussions. Then TPM came out and the fanbase found new stuff to hate on. You ain't lying they've treated George like shyt for over 30 years and now they miss him.

I personally loved the prequels because I always saw the SW movies as flawed tk begin with

They suck people in with the them music. Whoever wrote the score should get 25% of the revenue.

Making Star Wars is one of the most reliable sources out there for Star Wars rumours, and the site has now shared some very interesting intel about The Rise of Skywalker. There are some major spoilers here, so, assuming these are accurate, you may not want to read any further!

Still with us? Well, according to the site, the returning Palpatine wants Kylo Ren and Rey to rule over the Galaxy as the Emperor and Empress of his new Empire.

Palpatine refers to them as the "Dyad," which is a reference to the positive and negative sides of the Force and a union that will rejuvenate him (it sounds like that's his plan from the start, and he may only be using them so he can return to power). When he is finally restored, the site claims that there will be a blast of Force lightning that's so big, it brings down a Resistance ship.

It sounds like The First Order have no idea that The Emperor survived the events of Return of the Jedi, and the site's sources tell them that they know nothing about Matt Smith being in the film. However, perhaps the biggest reveal relates to what happens at the end of the movie.

It's said that The Rise of Skywalker concludes with Rey visiting the Lars homestead, and when a local tells her that they haven't seen anyone near that place for a long time and asks her name, she responds: "Rey, Rey Skywalker."

This is obviously just a rumour, but the site in question has provided plenty of reliable information in the past, so there's no reason to doubt these claims. Reshoots are currently taking place, though, so who knows how much of this will change or whether these leaks are an attempt to misdirect fans on the part of Lucasfilm.

Majority of the complaints about The Force Awaken was that it copy too much of the original trilogy.

My guess is that Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy took those complaints and decided to go full retard with The Last Jedi. Not trying to excuse RJ and KK but let's not pretend that TFA was a good set up, first film for a trilogy. Yes, it did set up plenty of story arcs, but all the arcs was straight duplicates of the original trilogy.

JJ Abram is just as must to blame for TLJ as RJ and KK.

Yea it was a blatant ripoff of ANH but it wasn't a terrible movie...My biggest complaint was subverting expectations of Fin into token comedic black guy, Hans death was assy and Luke not doing anything but I thought overall the film achieved its purpose which was to setup the next film...I left TFA with a reason to watch episode 8, we all went into episode 8 wondering who is Snoke and who Rey's parents are...JJ set that all up right but Rian and team SW dykes decided to throw that all out the window and piss on the entire Skywalker saga with the atrocity that was TLJ...

I’m going to be honest and say I didn’t like anything JJ set up in 7 shyt was all stuff that was done in the past. Snoke = Emperor type character , the question of the identity of Rey’s parentage = the mystery of Luke’s parental background. It’s all the same shyt after thirty years of waiting for the next chapter of Star Wars. Instead of focusing on stuff like what caused the first order to rise after the empire fell? How did Kylo fall to the dark side? (This should be a trilogy in itself).
