the original movies were as great as they were bc they took themselves and the material seriously. that's what lent it that extra 'it' factor that separates it from obvious trash in scifi/fantasy that is actually similar to star wars in content. even though it's a movie, you are supposed to make things make sense unless you're some guy like michael bay who is very plainly just in it for explosions and eye candy. that isn't the case with this movie, or maybe it is, i didn't watch the shyt.
i assumed they were actually trying to make some decent material.
