What else do you call someone who abandons the galaxy while the problem he helped create terrorizes millions of innocent people? Luke brought a rabid pitbull into a house full of people, let it off it’s leash, and then left his mess for others to fix. That’s not Luke Skywalker.
I see what Rian Johnson was going for but you can’t rewrite an already established character in a sequel trilogy, and that’s essentially what he did.

This is Luke with what 30+ years of life experience, gaining knowledge and wisdom , yet he’s still so susceptible to making brash and impulsive decisions.
You’re sister sent your nephew to you to guide and counsel him as he is troubled by the dark side, and you go into the quarters of a sleeping child, and briefly think about murdering him based on the possibility of shyt he hasn’t even done yet?

Why was she able to shoot lighting, isn't that an sith exclusive ability...? And her being tempted by the darkside isn't a good answer.

The yellow light saber at the end was that her new one? If so come on movie...at least show how she acquired it

Are abilities pasted down through birth? If so why would Palpatine a master planner that is manipulating things from the shows for years have kids and just let them go on living where ever... knowing that one down the line will be force sensitive? The sit seem pretty dumb for bad guys... like if force is "bloodline" related then have kids and train force sensitive ones up from youth to be sith.

Why did Kylo fade away after giving force but rey didn't after a force nuke....?

Jedi normally can't do it...

In the EU, Luke can do the Jedi equivalent of Force Lightning known as "Emerald Lightning" but by then Luke was damn near Ultra Instinct and a God-tier Jedi.

What they CAN do is reflect it back at the Sith to harm them with their own dark energy, which is what Mace Windu did against Palpatine before Anakin stepped in.

Only a Jedi strong in the force can do it...Luke was strong when he faced Palpatine but he was not as skilled as Mace or even Yoda. Mace Windu mastered the saber form that was close to the dark side but powerful as fukk if a Jedi could control it, which is why he could reflect Palps own darkness back at him.

The only downside to it is that if you don't destroy the Sith with their own Force Lightning, it makes them stronger because all you really did is magnify their own dark energy back on them and they FEED on the Dark Side.

And yeah...we assume that Rey made the pilgrimage to Illum to find her own kyber crystal since she does have the ancient Jedi texts and it would likely have told her to go there

Jannah is supposed to be Lando's daughter but because JJ hates nuance and elaboration, he probably cut the scene that made that clear for the audience.

At least Michael Bay doesn't pretend to give a fukk if a scene makes sense and formulating a cohesive plot, if the concept sounds dope to him, he will put it on film...
