The trilogy failed and I'm glad it did. They kicked Lucas plot to the curb, ignored the prequels, and focused on trying to duplicate eps 4-6.

I’m just a casual Star Wars fan, but they’re showing TFA and TLJ on TV tonight and this whole trilogy was just stupid. They had so much extended universe source material but they decided to just undo the achievements of the original trilogy.
And Finn’s character is just embarrassing. I always wonder how much wiggle room actors have to change what’s been written for their characters.

For a point of reference, Infinity War is also a member of said club. But the difference is that there was no question that Infinity War - which was a setup for the much bigger Endgame - would do a billion, while TRoS could possibly do only $900 Mill with the rate it's dropping.

That shyt was garbage too.
The opening sequence would have never happened. Some of us remember Crewman Daniels, StarFleet's Department of Temporal Investigations and StarFleet time ships like USS Relativity.
This is exactly how I felt when I saw that scene in the beginning.
