I mean JJ put Rian in a difficult position to have to explain why Luke left and didn’t tell anyone where he was

I agree completely. I've always said that Rian got a shytty handover from JJ. Down to that lame cliffhanger ending, I'm not surprised Rian had Luke toss the saber that was a stupid final scene JJ gave him.

He left a map behind. It’s a major plot point of the force awakens.

Look at his reaction to Rey at the end of the movie. That doesn't look like a man who wanted to be found (which is what Rian ran with). The whole map thing was stupid imo.

So TLJ is good all of a sudden? Might I remind you that was the one with leia flying in outerspace
nikkas need to cut it the fukk out

That movie is NOT good unless:

- You legit don't like or care for Star Wars and find it childish or trivial, so the idea of the movies built on a well established universe of shyt over 50+ years old is "whatever" to you.

- You are on board with this SJW shyt that they're forcing down everyone's throats in order to appease "everyone" when in the end, all it really appeases is white people and their sense of guilt or their sense of shame.

I still can't believe that Kylo's forever flip flopping between light and dark conflicted ass is what drove Luke to a 10(?) year exile.

If they wouldve developed Finn into a force sensitive fighter who eventually learns to properly use a light saber by the last movie :wow:

Imagine Knights of Ren hunting him down the entire trilogy since the First Order would view him as a threat for knowing too much and being a traitor :whew:

How do you turn so many characters and ideas with potential into :russell:

Because they didn't have a plan...

Multiple directors with distinctly different visions for the trilogy...

I really don't understand how anyone can cape for RJ though...

The character assassination of Luke is unforgivable but what he did to Finn IMO is even worse...Dude turned an interesting storm trooper defector who might be force sensitive into black token comedic relief simp sidekick...smh

As far as this trilogy goes, I thought it was entertaining, but it was popcorn entertainment.

First of all, Finn and Rey should have been an item. Finn was a decoy protagonist as he was the first main character to show up in the first trailer of this trilogy. There's nothing wrong with Rey's story. I think it should have been Finn who was the main protagonist. The whole "no romance" thing is a reflection of a culture where people hate to see black men with white women in mainstream movies.

The Emperor should not have returned once Darth Vader offed him. It pretty much fukked up Anakin's storyline.

In fact, keep Snoke, kill him to subvert audience expectations, and then let Plagueis do what the Emperor did in this film. Snoke was actually just a bunch of clones and Plagueis and Palpatine both were trying to create the most powerful warrior in the galaxy and have them as an ally.

It would make sense for Rey to be the most Force-sensitive and most powerful person in the galaxy IF after Anakin's failure, Plagueis tried to replicate creating a Force-sensitive being the same way Anakin was made. If not for Obi-Wan defeating Anakin, he would be the most powerful person in the galaxy. So Plan B. Create another Anakin. Except this time use a different tactic to turn her to the dark side.

It's suspect that Rey is Palpatine's "granddaughter" in the traditional sense anyway. If he used the (fukking) "midichlorians", his daughter could be the vessel for the next Anakin. Then Palpatine dies, Plagueis reveals that he managed to cheat death and discovers who Rey is and tries the same thing Palpatine did, but without being a hammy villain like Palpatine.

I think those changes would improve the overall structure of the trilogy while still keeping the Star Wars tone.

Then, again, that gets me to thinking. Rey healed Ben's mortal wound and Ben brought Rey back to life using the Force...which proves the Force can allow you to cheat death. :jbhmm:

Finn should've been a Jedi :francis:

Rey should've been seduced by Kylo and The Sith :francis:

Then Finn could've helped bring her back. Then she kills Kylo :francis:

I thought that was the setup. Finn being the Betty to Kylo's Veronica for Rey's Archie. Hell, that was probably JJ's intention.
