If the general star wars fan knew the stories and events that happened in the old republic.... it makes the skywalker saga look irrelevant.

So many great stories and sand box to play with.

So why aren't movies being made based on it

The movies and TV shows are planting seeds with things from the old republic era.

Disney is smart doing it this way to connect the past with the present.

Since Disney did a full reset on canon they have to set the field to introduce people to that time.

Is it just me or is there very little hype for this trailer.

Even for Coli standards, the superhero threads get way more lit after trailers drop than this one did.

Because the trailer wasn't all that great. There will be hype when a better one comes out

But force awakens was one of the worst films I've watched in theatres up there with transformers 2. Unfiltered trash.

JJ did exactly what was necessary to start this trilogy in my opinion. how is the foundation JJ built not strong? introducing new characters is the most challenging part and JJ did quite well. you're literally complaining that it didn't answer every question you had, which will certainly be answered in episodes 8 and 9

I think he's going to be more humanistic in the following movies, it allows him to show more emotion etc. Plus i think his eyes are turning dark orangish a little too.

This doesn't have the obnoxious omg it's a new star wars thing going for it.

My only hope is Rian Johnson made this. Jj Abrahams is such a wanna be Spielberg with 1/10 the talent. Doesn't have an original bone in his body. Force awakens was the most pandering generic trash I've watched in a long time.

People are being more cautiously optimistic towards this.

The trailer did nothing more than to say there's a new film coming. Nothing noteworthy to discuss.

Rouge one was coo tho. tons of action and better characters.
